Hello all,
first time posting here.

I have a question. I recently upgraded my hard drive and went through the trouble of copying almost everything to the new HDD without using the backup utility (due to an error that showed up along the process).

Well, after having all my saves on the new HDD, I started installing and downloading everything
again (DLC's, updates, etc.).

And here's my trouble: the LBP file (the one where the updates are accumulated) in game data utility is smaller than it was in the old HDD (791mb before, 757mb now...I actually wrote it down).

I've read the topic about patch details and it says the total size of all patches is 835mb, but does it mean the file I'm talking about is supposed to be at 835mb? Or does it changes (like the profile)?  
I'm thinking I might have missed something along the way, but I've checked multiple times and all the DLC's I bought are there as are all the updates (the file version is 1.23). So I don't know what's missing, if there's anything missing at all.

Can anyone clarify me on this? Is it supposed to change in size like the profile?

on my lbp stuff

data file: 791mb

dlc: 1119kb

this shold be the normal size. also a lot of the patches replace old data with newer data.

not sure on your delema did u re install all your dlc including all the level packs

That is exactly the size of my previous file. I talked to some friends of mine and their file is also 791mb.

I have re-downloaded everything I had before.

I really don't know why it decresased in size. Everything seems to be there and working. I'll try deleting the file and do the updates again next morning.

Maybe it is all ok and I'm overreacting It just seems weird.

That total I put in my patch thread is the total cumulative size of the downloads (before they were installed), not the total size of the updates after they are installed, which as you gather is a different total altogether.

As long as you have the latest update and all is working why worry?

I was thinking I could have lost something since everyone tells me their file is 791mb (and my old one was too) . I deleted the file and updated the game again and it's 757mb again. But everything is fine and working, eheh.

I guess I was worried for nothing .
