You can redeem it untill a year is up but a beta is only part of the content for testing purposes and you are not allowed to trade beta codes to gain for yourself you are only allowed to give them away. The full game will be out by the time the code expires and the beta only lasts a couple of weeks

Easy mistake to make. Just remember the purpose of beta's are to testing existing code to find bugs/ glitches or give feedback on the game so far and are nto just there to be played early or brag to your mates that you got this game early. There was recently i beta for Little Big Planet Vita but that has ended now so unfortunatly you missed out on the vita beta. But look forward to the full game as i was great

If you access the beta now, all you get is sackboy, in his pod, looking miserable, and a message telling you to look forward to the full game. (Or something like that; my memory's not too good.)
