The Memorize On PS3?

A new feature in LBPVita is the the memorizer

Spoiler

  * (Magical) information-across-levels-device , AKA the memorizer.
So this basically allows you to transmit information over levels, or have levels remember you and your actions since the last time you played. I didn't play around with it, but if I understood it right you can activate something a level, wire that up to the memorizer and then have the level remember you did that. I was busy making potatolevels so I'm not entirely sure how you use it practically, but the feature is in there.
You can have level links transmit information, have the level remember you and use a save system if you have an epic RPG, and..well. It's pretty cool IMO

Do you think we will get it in LBP2?

Re: The Memorize On PS3?

Very interesting. I was wondering about LBP Vita only today, thinking about the supposed inclusion of 'asynchronous online play' which basically means, you play a game with a friend in which you take turns... You make a move and then you can switch your machine off while you wait for your friend to take a turn.

I assumed that this would require some sort of save state associated with the level so I gave up on the idea, thinking that the feature had been overstated - perhaps it would be possible for a built-in level, or perhaps they didn't really mean asynchronous play.

But now you add a 'memorizer' to the mix and suddenly, the problem is solved. Wow. This could open up all manner of possibilities. My mind is now going to boggle quietly for a little while. :ScaredPumpkin:

Would it be possible on PS3? It might be very tricky to integrate it, technically. So don't get your hopes up. Do we want it? Hell yes!

I'd hope so. I don't plan on getting a Vita, but this makes the device moar tempting....

Re: The Memorize On PS3?

I hope they include it in a update as it would solve a lot of my problems and be making games SO much easier.
