Well What Do You Know The (Cool Pages) Have Been Over Took By Copied Levels... AGAIN
And I Thought Media Molecule Had Done Something So That This Wouldn't Happen Like It Did On LBP !!
When I Publish a New Level I Only Get 4-10 plays !? And It's Not Like The Level Is Absolute Turd Most Of My Levels Are Quite Good And I'm Working On A New One Right Now Which Has Already Been a Month In The Making And I'm Only About 70% Done! And I Will Only Get Around 100 Plays In 5 Days When a Noob Who Copy's Every Level And Gets Over 1000 Plays Per Day !
So What Can We Do To Stop This?
Firstly:
Don't Play The Levels On The Cool Pages Even Though New Players Will Still As They Don't Know What Is Going On.
Second:
We Need To Get Mm To Make a New Category Which Will Have The Levels That Have a Good Amount Of Yays And Hearts And It'll Be Nice If They Brought Back The Rate Function So The Nooby Copied Levels Wont Be Getting Top All The Time And Make It So a Creator Can Only Have One Level At a Time On In This Category And Also Make It So The Levels Change Every Two-Three Days Not Six-Seven Like The So Called (Cool Pages).
Third:
We Also Need a Recommended Page Where Levels Have Been Recommend By Other Players This Way We Can Find Good Levels More Easily Without Going To Page Four Or Five Of The (Cool Pages)
I Know We Have Mm Picks But Their Are Only The Really Good Levels And They Do Have Some Terrible Ones But... Never Mind.
Fourth:
We Also Need Some Better Tags The Tags We Have Now Are Mostly Just Good Tags They Are No Bad Tags As You'd Say Like Boring,Repeative,Plain etc..
I Mean Not Every Levels Perfect So Why Is They Not Tags To Show It..?
Also Need a Search Function Like The Newest Levels,Busiest...
Need One That Says "Tags" To Search For Levels With a Certain Tag.
I Could Go One Longer But You's Get The Point Mm Really Need To Sort The (Cool Pages) Out It's Annoying Publishing a Good Level And Not Getting Noticed !
Please Give Me Your Thoughts On The (Cool Pages)...

1/ The levels on the cool pages get there by being played a lot, so not playing them is a silly thing to say as people would've been playing them a lot before they got on the Cool Pages.
2a/ The removal of the "boo" option doesn't mean you have to "yay" levels all the time. If you don't like it, just don't rate it, and leave a review stating what you didn't like about it. If people agree with your review it gets placed higher in the list , people will see it and be discouraged to play (maybe).
2b/ The Cool Pages are updated a lot more frequently than every 6-7 days. I have noticed a few times that they were updated since I last looked a couple of hours before. If you note down every level on the Cool Pages, and check back the next day, they will not be the same. The levels getting lots of plays will probably remain for a while, as they deserve it for being played so much.
3/ If you're looking for Recommended Levels, try playing one of the many fansite levels, whose creators spend lots of their time looking for good levels for you to play.
4/ Tags? Maybe. But you can be much more vocal in your reviews.

I know the feeling of pouring hours upon hours into the creation of a level only to see it go unloved and unplayed but in truth there is very little we can do to change how the cool pages work, thats up to MM.
A case in point is the last level i published called block blaster, its a block breakout game and its the most polished level i have ever made. It took many weeks of hard work to build and test and it has just 49 plays, 14 hearts and 20 yays. The few reviews posted on it were very complimentary but im still hugely dissapointed in how many plays it got.
However at the end of the day this is all just part of LBP, so many great creators go unnoticed and all you can do is keep trying and maybe one day you'll get lucky and find yourself on the cool pages with a great original level.
What you can do to get plays is put the word around the multitude of LBP forums on the net. Advertise your levels anywhere you can. Simply ask people to play your level, state what kind of level you've made, eg. platformer, minigame etc. Leave a link to its LBP.me page so people can queue it and play it later and ask anyone on your friends list to try it and leave feedback.
I'll try your level if you leave a link in this thread so i can queue it, heres a link to my "Block Blaster" level if you'd like to try it, http://lbp.me/v/8mw412

I'm Slightly Perplexed That You Capitalise Every First Letter Josh.
Must Be a Strain On Your Shift Key.
But the cool pages are what they are, there's nothing we can do to stop it, it's just the way it works.
The levels that tend to get the most plays are, unfortunately, not very good.
Looking at my published levels (which I havn't checked back on in a while) the popular ones are my worst:
Omega Protocol; my best published level and one that I am incredibly proud of, has a poultry 72 plays.
whereas Hospital Collectables; a fairly awful object-collecting level I think I made as a favour to someone on these forums, has over 1100 plays.
My bad levels will be promptly deleted. I'd much rather go without those 1100 plays than have Omega Protocol ignored at the expense of that trash.

A recommended page would be just as bad, you will see people recomending there own levels ....
I think Mm needs to bring the Boos back, honestly.

Thats My Point Why Should COPIED Levels Get 100s Of Plays!?
Please don't type like that. Capitalizing every word isn't proper and is making you do much more work. It's also very difficult to read, not sure why, it's jsut very annoying.
