Hello,

can someone tell me if I'm playing the Little Big Planet version with the forbidden Qu'ran verses?

I ordered LBP for some months ago and read yesterday that the release of LBP was original delayed due to two Quran verses in the Toumani Diabate's song 'Tapha Niang'. It says that this song is removed from the final game. But I recognize exactly this song in my version? How can this be?

I mean, I don't have any probs with this fact that I'm playing a game with two verses from the Qu'ran? But I want to know if I got a really special version of LBP?!

No.

No matter where you get it from, as soon as you go to play the game you will be prompted to update the game (i.e. every game is then the same since you have to have the updates to play the game online). The very first patch that came out for the game patched that song so it would then be only an instrumental version.

So you still have the music in there, just with the lyrics removed.

Well I got my version from the states. And for some reasons the song is there and even the lyrics!

Yes, that's true.

But like I say as soon as you update it will become an instrumental version. And you need to update to be able to play online.
If another US player deletes their game data they would be able to listen to that song too with lyrics, since they would not have the updated data.
