Re: The "Level of The Week" Thread

We've been told to keep this in your original LBP Thursdays thread.

Anyway I'd love to be part of this panel as I've posted like 5 times in your Thurday thread :smileytongue:.

Re: The "Level of The Week" Thread

I think a scoring system would be good. Categories such as:

-Innovation

-Fun

-Atmosphere (Levels that look more like ones MM themselves would make through scenery, sound effects etc.)

-Single/Multiplayer Aspect

Maybe a few of those worth more than others, for example, Innovation out of 10 and Atmosphere out of 5.

Anyway we wouldn't be able to judge every entry like this so maybe we should shortlist the best then judge them.

Re: The "Level of The Week" Thread

Sorry about clogging up the thread. Will delete all my posts if this turns out to be the official forum.

Anyway would the score idea be good or should we just judge it and then say why?

Anyway we should still shortlist a few so we can play through them multiple times and decide a winner.

Re: The "Level of The Week" Thread

I liked the ideas everyone came up with in the thread MusterBuster made a while ago.

Basically, we thought of doing a monthly or fortnightly competition. The first half is the create part, and rather than just creating any levels, a particular word is given for a theme. Everyone then gets a week/two weeks to make a level to match that theme. Then the other half of the competition is the play part, where everyone plays the levels everybody submitted, and can post saying which their favourite is.

In my opinion it would work better than doing it on a weekly basis and having a panel and stuff. But these things can't be rushed into, you've got to spend a lot of time thinking exactly how they will work. I've had plenty of experience on other forums making creative competitions like this, so I'll gladly help out in any way I can.

Re: The "Level of The Week" Thread

Anyway got to go now.

I think we'll need a new thread with a few flashy photoshop graphics and a definitive rules list.

Bye!

Re: The "Level of The Week" Thread

This all seems a bit "elitist" to me. LBP is all about community, so would it not be more apt to have the whole community decide the "Level of the Week" instead of a select few on the "panel"
