So, what does everybody think about the Yarg update??
I haven't tried out everything yet (still need to give the music player a go), but I think it's great.
I love how easy it is to decorate Sackboy now, it was a nightmare trying to precisely stick stickers onto him when he was moving.
The two new features that should have been in the creator pack next week are really useful. It's very good how if you already had pistons with a minimum length of 0, they've already got the visibility option ticked, so you don't have to go back and change it. And the angle-range proximity switches are really useful for having areas other than circles (if you set it to 1 degree you can even have a lin, which is perfect for a level I started ages ago where ball with magnetic keys had to cross a small area).
So, fantastic update Mm, can't wait until next week to try out the gloabl lighting changer!

Hmm I found it moist with a fresh, creamy taste and a quality all of its own, the hand-applied covering of nettles of the cheese really gave it that rustic feel
.
Very happy with it over all will be purchasing more. ![]()
From the list of fixes and more features it all looks very good, going to be interesting to try out.

I'm really pleased with it. Creating is so much more enjoyable when you can listen to music while you're doing it. I also like the fact that when you go to play a level, when you return to your pod it picks up where the music left off. I was worried it might be implemented a bit half-heartedly but it's actually really well thought-out. I also like that when you hide a mechanism, it also mutes it so you don't hear the piston/winch/motor bolt sounds. I didn't think I noticed them before but you can really tell the difference once they're gone. Some really useful additions to the toolset. I haven't thought of a useful purpose for the angle setting but I'm sure I will.
I love how you can turn sackboy round when decorating him and that he stands still. It allows you to get a lot more creative with costumes and be more accurate.
My one minor gripe is that I'm not a big fan of the tiny level information bubbles on the Community levels. I don't think they're very useful and it makes it look a bit cluttered. But that's a minor thing.

Surprising actually I only looked at this thread to see what it was about I didn't realise it wast he update but it's great I've been back editing my levels and hiding some of my pistons where it would look much better to just have like floating floors that move up or down rather than lifts and the angle proximately on the sensor switches will come in very useful.
I love being able to listen to music from the XMB though in creation mode, I usually mess around trying ot keep some of my in game music playing but it gets boring after a while especially with how long i takes to make some of the stuff
Haven't tried out the new customisation feature but I'm really looking forward to the lighting changes when they come I'm sure they'll be a great improvement for many levels, I'm looking forward to playing with that when it comes, that means I'll have to edit all of my levels and republish again and I've not edited and republished much from the latest update. Guess I'm gonna be busy for a while keeping my creations up to date with the new features

I did some minor tweaks but people have to be careful not to use the new stuff just because it's there. I remember after the MGS pack came out and loads of people randomly added the paint gun to their levels and it got a bit tedious. I'm worried that I'll go to play next Thursday and every level will have flashing backgrounds!

That seems a bit OTT I only update my levels with the new stuff to what is really required for my levels for example some of my levels are sci-fi based so a lot of the time moving platforms look better rather than just how they were and the lighting changes will be really good for change of areas like where I have in the daylight and then they enter a cave it will be great to be able to change the light settings for inside the cave and then change them back when they come out of the cave but don't get the wrong impression I'm gonna go OTT I'm just gonna use the stuff where it'll make the levels more effective and good. These are really good changes that will really improve my levels and make them look a whole lot better for what they are meant to be.

Oh yeah. I wasn't having a go. I was just saying that I remembered that people went OTT with the paint gun and stuff. Wasn't accusing you of doing it. Don't know why I quoted your post TBH. ![]()
I'm sure people will make some really interesting stuff with the environment switch. And what you mentioned about going into a cave or something and having it go dark - subtle uses like that should make levels look really good.

Yeah I think that's why they've made that although it's got me worried now how people are going to use it, I know for one I'm going to use it wisely and correctly but after reading your post Im beginning to worry how others are going to use it?
Because from reading your post it sounds like some people just put new stuff anywhere just for the fun of it, I was looking forward to that I really do hope that people will use it was wisely as me for light changes in what are meant to be different areas rather than just putting stuff anywhere
I was happy when I got the paintinator gun but I only use it in a few levels where I think it comes in useful
Oh dear, am I gonna see some mad lighting changes in some levels when it comes? Oh dear I do hope not I'd better start hoping people will use it as appropriately as I am going to
