Ok, rather than Drudging up my dying thread, I've made this one to post progress of my Sackboy Rig.
Model Credits:
Sackboy was modeled and given to me to rig by this communities own Arliman (who is missing for some reason)
Anything in the pictures that are 3d models that are not Sackboy, were modeled by me.
Texture Credits:
Sackboy's 'Brown Knit' and his Zipper pull's 'Metal' textures, are from the LBP-2.0-Fansite Kit. and as such are property of Media Molecule and Sony Computer Entertiainment Europe.
Any textures seen in the pictures that are not 'Metal' or "Brown Knit" were created by me.
Rig and controller Credits:
Everything to do with Sackboy's rig, and his controllers are of my own creation. Even if based off of existing items.
Ok now that the formalities are out of the way, Let's have a bit of a backstory shall we?
Back in Beta, I had a stupid idea of sending Mm an email. In it, I asked for a model of Sackboy to rig. I figured that I wouldn't get it, so I posted the email on the Beta Forums, and asked the Beta Community if that was a stupid thing to do. Arliman saw that post, and added a screen grab of his work in progress Sackboy model that he had been creating for fun in 3DSMax. He and I exchanged a few emails, and he graciously sent me a .obj version of his model so that I could rig it in Maya.
Well, it has been a long time since then, and I all but forgot that I was doing so. But now I have a sudden urge to finish this project. And you guys/gals get to be annoyed by the Process! YAY!
This all started with a project to make a Sackboy Costume:

Doing this is what started me wanting a sackboy model, so that I could create different costumes.
OR so that I could dress up a sackboy in costumes that LBP(2) did not have, for the giggles.
Then Arliman saw my post, sent me the model (no texture) and I started rigging it, so I could see how my Costumes would look posed
a RIG is nothing without a UV map (that's what tells the model where it's textures are) and beings how .obj messes up the Uv map, I re-mapped him and applied a found texture from the net.

I eventually took a break from Sackboy. Forgot that I was making his rig, and found him a few months later.
I decided to restart the rig from scratch.

Again, took a break, and forgot about it.
So now I have again, restarted his rig, retextured him. and am ready to finish this long overdue project.
