I have a few ideas. If anyone else would like to share ideas that would be great. Also, if anyone knows someone in Media Molecule, please direct them to this board.
Improve The Water
The water is great. It's completely changed LBP in alot of ways. But, lets face facts - it didn't live up to our expectations. Like me, you were probably hoping to create individual bodies of water (lakes, river with currents and rapids, water-falls, swimming pool, baths) instead of simply one single water level. Also, I was hoping to create tsunamis and storms and actual waves instead of the pathetic little baby waves that have been given to us. Please fix this Media Molecule. LBP is still lacking and adding the right things will fix it. We love the stickers and costumes but we'd rather have more creative potential.
Give Us Weather
I can't tell you how many people have tried to create rain or snow or wind. The fact is, these are crucial features that LBP is in dire need of. Why not give us a weather system as well as an astrological system. This would allow us to create a 2D(but still realistic) Sun and Moon(that holds like Dark Matter). Also, give us stars, wind, rain, snow, hail, clouds, lightning/thunder and allow us to control the intensity of each of these features. Also, we need a gravity system.
More Backgrounds
There is simply not enough of them. Give us more different backgrounds and maybe an option to change the season in each.
New Materials
1. A waterproof material that(when completed in a loop) traps air inside itself and allows for underwater activity without having to swim. This would allow us to create efficient submarines.
2. A fabric material that moves as cloth would(silk, cotton).
3. A jelly material that shakes when pressured and can be easily penetrated.
4. A mirror material in the glass family that reflects light and images.
5. A fluff material that is soft and squidgy like the tops of the premade trees unlocked in story mode.
6. Allow the rubber material to bend like the green snake unlocked in story mode.
Special Objects And Tools
Objects
1. A grappling hook gun that works like the paintinator with R1 firing the hook and L3 being used to swing and change the rope length.
2. New paintinators that come in different gun types like rifles, machine guns, bazookas, paint hose, shotgun, grenades.
3. Small weapons like swords, axes, spears, bows, hammers and boxing gloves. This would make for some fun little fights etween sackpeople.
4. Small tools like woodaxes, pickaxes, shovels, dynamite that can be used to dig through, under or into different materials.
5. Climbing gloves that allow players to scale walls and ceilings instead of just grabbing them.
6. Lifting gloves that allow players to pick up objects or friends instead of grabbing them. First press of R1 picks up, second press throws.
7. Floaty boots that allow players to walk on water.
8. An umbrella that when opened(with R1) behaves as a parachute does and allows players to gracefullly glide down instead of clumsy falling.
9. A flashlight that when used(with R1) lights up dark areas.
10. Running shoes that allow players to burst into a mad sprint. This allows for more exciting races. These shoes would also provide more jumping ability.
Tools
1. A sand, snow(laid), lava, mud(thicker than water and gets you messy) tool that is much like the water tool but each element behaves differently.
2. A grass tool(like fire, electric and gas tools) that puts grass on the edge/face of the selected material. This allows for any material to be grabbed(by the grass).
3. A sticky tool(like fire etc) that makes the selected material sticky. This would make for a funny trap and would make moving objects more difficult.
4. A sharp tool(like fire etc) that makes the selected material kill players on impact(much like the dagger in the objects menu).
5.An ice tool(like fire etc) that freezes and traps players until rescued(by being placed in proximity to fire) or killed(players will still be able to use popit menu when frozen).
6. A helicopter propeller that can be used to lift objects(using this with a three way switch allows for the propeller to go up, down or to hover in place).
7. A fan tool that pushes the player in whichever way it is blowing.
8. A TV screen that can be connected to a video camera and shows whatever the camera picks up(the camera can be placed on any object or surface and monitors an area in a chosen proximity from itself, much like the camera feature in the sticker menu.) This allows players to do something in one area and see the effect in another area.
9. Switch activated gun such as gatling gun, lazer gun, missile launcher. These can be triggered by any switch or searchlight.
10. Traps in dangerous objects section. These include treadmills, bannana peels, snap traps, snare traps, cage traps, pit traps and can make a player stuck until rescued or killed.
Character Options
1. Allow players to completely remove eyes and mouth(leaving the face completely blank).
2. Allow players to customize the shape of the character's body, head, fingers. This allows the player to give their sackpeople male and female physiques or make them big headed or a bit chunky.
3. Allow players to change the size of their sackperson. Add two new sizes(large and small) along with the regular size we have now. Regular sackpeople will remain as they are. Large sackpeople will be stronger and more resilient to dangerour objects but will be slower and less able to fit in small places. Small sackpeople will be faster and able to fit in small spaces but will be weaker and have less jumping power. Small sackpeople wil also be able to jump and grab onto their regular or large friends and hitch a ride. NOTE: Character size can only be changed before the player pass mark is passed.
4. Add normal human skin colours(bare with nothing added) to the skin section. Also, put these ethnic colours on a skin-like fabric so that the sackpeople look more human.
Gameplay Options
1. Put the good grief menu in the pause menu, that way SELECT can be used to display player names instead of L1. Doing this would allow L1 to be used for grabbing with the other hand. Doing this would assign L1 to the left hand and R1 to the right hand. This would allow players to save their friends without killing themselves, create sackpeople chains/bridges, transport object over gaps via swings(or a sackperson bridge) and use special objects like the paintinator without losing the ability to grab onto an object.
2. Allow eight players per game. This would give players a whole army of friends at their disposal. This would make shifting objects and doing tasks a lot less complicated and more fun.
3. Allow players on different PS3 systems to leave each other's screen. This would allow players to be at completely different parts of the level and therefore improve the quality of multiplayer areas. NOTE: Text chat can still be seen from any distance and the last checkpoint crossed will be the checkpoint used.
4. Allow players to be divided into two teams (four-a-side). By placing checkpoint-like organaiser boxes at the start of the level, players can choose between blue or red and enter the relevant box(the two boxes are attached to each other). Once all players are in a box, the boxes will close and fit every character with either a blue or red vest. This vest will have a health-bar switch on it which is vulnerable to the enemies paint or small weapons(this will end your life when the bar is empty). NOTE
aint will change colour depending on the team chosen. The idea is to work with your team to reach checkpoints and take those checkpoints for your team. Only one team can own a checkpoint at a time and to steal an enemy's checkpoint, you have to use up all of their lives(kill them enough times).NOTE:When a team owns more than one checkpoint, they will respawn at the nearest checkpoint(making the nearest checkpoint the one at risk). Once every checkpoint in the level is controlled by one team, the winning team are all teleported to the scoreboard(finish) where they are met by a sea of sad faces(losing team). The winning team are given a creator-chosen award. That is a team level for you.
5. Improve the level guage so that we can create larger and more detailed levels.

That's already doable.
Just go to your images and press square on the photo you want and choose export.
The resolution of those images aren't exactly great though, they are only 320 x 180, so when set as the PS3 wallpaper they are stretched.

LBP2 is nothing more than rumours at the moment.
Therefore, there is also no date to be had.
We would need to wait for Sony or Mm to actually announce it first before we can even think to say it's definitely coming (even then it's unlikely that we would have a solid release date when and if that announcement came).
