Hi, so I built a basic staircase with this blocks moving in sequences from the back layer to the middle, point being you should jump up the stairs before the blocks push you of the stairs. Now at first everything worked fine that part was easy and completed and I went on, then I realised the first block isn't moving in and out any more (not changing layer from back to middle). Paused grabbed block tried L1 moving it forward and it won't, so I delete it to see whats in the way nothing, I make a new block but I don't place it (leave it see through when it can still move through things) and and hold it in front of the area where the block use to be and I try to move it fw and backward through the layers but it won't go back, or forward once I have it at the back (by taking it in from the side). OK I hope I made it clear any one know anything about this? could this be a weird bug?

yes, even before I ve placed them, but only at the certain small block area on the map. it worked then it stopped and blocks won't change layers there.what the hell

First things first - could it be failing because the vicinity of the mechanism is overburdened with details?
If that's a possibility, make a copy of your level on your moon and work on the copy. Remove anything that doesn't form part of the mechanism - remove stickers and decorations, change the materials of nearby stuff so they're all the same - do everything you can to simplify your work so that potential thermo problems can be reduced.
If it still doesn't work, then it's either something about the mechanics themselves or it's really a weird glitch that affects this part of the level. So copy the section in question and relocate the copy somewhere else. If you're really stuck for space, save the section as an object and clear some space to put it (this is still your backup copy, right?)
If the mechanism works elsewhere, you do seem to have found a weird spatial bug. In which case, can you move your level around to get your stairs into a slightly different location? If not, something about its dimensions may be jamming it. Have you tried a material tweaker to remove all friction?

Hi thanks for reply. I think maybe to try moving the whole thing to another part of the map, then I could see if it's a glitch thing on that spot which would be really strange. It's still the beginning of the stage design so the therometer is still really low. And the mechanism to design the block pushing out isn't complicated either, theres 4 blocks moving in and out it's done with one sequencer & 8 timers on it & 4 layer changers one on each block. that's it. (couldn't think of an easier way to do it even though it's something so simple).
But like i said what is strange is that it all worked perfect, I left it to go work on another part of the stage and when I scrolled back to that part I noticed the first block isn't moving in and out anymore as well as If i select it and try with L1 L2 it's not going in and out either. If I finally find out (if I do) what is going on here I'll post it.

I think all you describe here is just "normal" in LBP2,
that always happens in LBP2, has nothing to do with a glitch or overheated level,
but there are workarounds, to move it back in the old layer (with R1/L1 and layer mover),
had the same problem in my Muppets Pack Remake...
...can`t describe it here, but you can add me, and I`ll show you, how it works...
