Today, at about 3:00pm, I turned on my PSP to play on LBP.
After going through the normal process, selecting a language and pressing the X button, a information box appeared.
It read:
'Load failed because save data is corrupt.
Retry?'
The was two options, 'Yes' or 'No'.
I pressed 'Yes' several times only going round in circles and ending up with the same box.
I then tried 'No' on the box and another box appeared. It told me that it could not detect a memry stick and that if I didn't put one in certain features of the game would be disabled.
It then said do you want to play the reduced game (Or something like that). I clicked 'No'.
It then took me back to the laguage select screen and I went through the same process. Several Times.
Is there anyway I can restore my data and does anyone know why it said it could not detect a memory stick?
Thanks,
todotoJB

What i would try is,
plug your psp in to your pc and take the data off and save it to your pc, the format you memary stick and put the data back on to the stick
that should do it, but if not then no you've lost it all

There are two major problems that can happen when creating (and playing) with LBP PSP:
1) Corrupt Level (which is what this thread is about). While it sucks, it is not the worst thing that can happen. Here is a thread describing how to avoid it: http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?23
2) Corrupt Profile (which is the worst thing that can happen). This basically makes you lose everything (including collected objects, aced data, created levels, etc...). Here is a thread about how to avoid it: http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?19
I follow the advice in both of those threads whenever I am creating. I always have multiple copies of a level on My Moon, and when I am working on a level, I usually back up my profile just about every day or every-other-day because it only takes about 2 minutes to do it and it gives me peace of mind knowing that even if my entire profile crashes, I can still easily recover it.

1. Download Media Go onto pc
2. Save all your save data files there and anything else
3. Delete your LBP save data file/s
4. Put your save data file/s back onto your PSP and this should help.
Tip: Make sure you do not have any corrupt data on your memory stick as sometimes it causes other files to become corrupt as well because they may be loaded when you play some games.
I hope this helps.

They fixed this problem in update 2.03 (strawberry cheesecake) but after update 2.05 (cherry pie) it has all started again. One of my levels got corrupted as well but I just deleted the file and got it back from media go.

I have had this problem once.
I took out the memory card and then put it back in.
This solved the problem because the memory card was not in properly and so could not be read.
