Community levels

How do some community levels have thousands of people who have played them. Is it to do with how the level is named?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Re: Community levels

Because they're good, and its obvious some time and thought has gone into designing and building them

Re: Community levels

Indeed, there are some real masterpieces out there. I am not disputing that. What I don't understand is when a level is first published it is displayed under the newest tag for about 10 minutes only, and then it is gone. During that time it will get maybe 10 or so hits. The rest of the hits come later.

I am guessing it is a combination of word of mouth via forums, how the level is named, and how the level is tagged.

Re: Community levels

Plus you can search for the highest rated levels, taking you straight to the good ones.
Don't forget that LBP has been out for 18months now, so alot of those levels with thousands of plays have been around for a while.
The Dinosaur Island series is 1 of the first top rated levels, i think there's about 4 in the series, and they're all well designed.

Re: Community levels

Good point. I had forgotten about the search by highest rated tag.
