Last Chance to buy The Incredibles Addon Packs!

The Incredibles Costumes and Level Kit DLC items are leaving the store during the first week of June. Once gone, these items may never return!

Do not despair though, if you have yet to buy The Incredibles levels and costumes, then you have until the start of June to do so, and if you have already purchased the items, they will remain in your purchase history in case you need to download them again in the future.

Don’t miss your chance to own these awesome levels and costumes folks!

Are you having copyright issues or something? Are we likely to lose any other packs from the store?

Our friends at Disney have been really helpful with sorting out this issue and I can promise that this is not pathing the way for more content to be removed from the store.

Infact we have even more awesome Disney content due to be released this year! :)

If we're having a "why have they been removed" rumour competition.

My guess is:

LBP Karting beta to start shortly, Incredibles stuff was only licensed for LBP and LBP 2.

Probably more to do with the way Disney handle their IP, by taking it off the market for a year or two then bringing it back. They mucked up the EU bluray release so there may be a super-duper version of that on Blu-ray, perhaps a 3D remake etc.

although owned by Disney, The Incredibles is still a Pixar IP. Pixar rarely goes over it's movies again. Now their Pre-DVD films (Toy Story, A Bugs Life) have gotten an HD treatment. and If any of the Pixar films is going to get the 3D treatment Pixar would have started with their older films.

Well Toy Story 1 and 2 actually have had the 3D treatment, just before Toy Story 3.

I forgot about that. I didn't bother going to see the '3D' versions, that's why I forgot about them. But still, my point stands firm, they havnen't touched the other films.

Now if an Incredibles 2 is in the works, then a 3d version of Incredibles would show up. But only If Disney (who now completely owns Pixar) says they are allowed to do so. Pixar sold majority stock to Disney under one condition, that they were the sole 3D studio Disney Used from now on. (Which is why their 3d animated shows/movies have been looking much better than they have before the buyout.)

I cannot go into the specifics about The Incredibles content removal from the store.

However I can say that the releases of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting have absolutely no impact on our current LittleBigPlanet content and will not result in their removal from the store.

My guess is:

Pixar and Disney get married, Media Molecule smacked Sony in the face, pigs learn how to fly, and the apocalypse starts as soon as everyone gets the LBP Vita beta.

So you have a download limit?  How big is it or how much do you have left?

The DLC aint really that big in size.

The combined DLC will be a few unlock keys weighing in at a tiny MB or two at most.

It just unlocks content that has to be added to the LBP game updates.

LBP has to include all the locked DLC in the game updates, otherwise you wouldn't be able to play other people's levels if they use DLC that you don't own.

That is called Gamesharing.

Gamesharing is against the rules, and is elegible for baning from the PSN servers by Sony Computer Entertainment.

Now that is just a straight up shame isn't it? Regardless of the reasons, Disney/Pixar know exactly what they are doing in limiting MM/LBP in the use of and in protecting their property. I suppose my question would be, given that I own copies of the aforementioned property, is, will the content that consumers/clients have already purchased be limited within the game in comparison to the other common LBP2 downloaded content?

Removal of content is not confidence inspiring and certainly does not move someone to make further purchases of DLC. And today there is a new mini pack out? Starhawk? Hmmmmm.... shall I invest more money in the LBP series or... not so much?

If the content, The Incredibles, that consumers purchased in good faith (unrestricted) is now going to have limitations on it, is MM going to compensate those clients/consumers with perhaps a new (free to previous The Incredibles purchasers) costume pack? It's a consideration given the current status and situation with The Incredibles content.

However, there will be no limitations on DLC purchased.
