This morning I was thinking of how I'm so excited for the beta and such, but then a problem arised... What size will the LBP2 beta be approximately? I have one SLOW download speed, and if it's something like 10 gigs... well i'll be downloading for around 4 days. T_T

Just for the record, when will the LBP2 beta be released also?

And in the beta, most of the features that will be availible in the final version will be in it?

And ONE MORE QUESTION, will the public beta be right after the alpha, or will it go alpha, selected people to do the beta, then public beta?

I forgot what he messaged me the other day, something along the line that people will be selected to beta test the new LBP.me portion of LBP2, which will inevitably mean they will need to test the other new stuff as well.

Basically MM has already chosen selected people to beta test LBP2, they already have a list of creators that they will give beta codes to, it won't be a large number, I don't think it's really needed as LBP2 is basically just a very large expansion pack, [too large to release as a download, that's why it's coming out like it is] not a totally new game.

See this video interview with the MM people at E3 about LBP2, they mention what's happening with beta testing in it.

as far as i know no time frame has been given for a lbp 2 beta, and as blackwiggle said, they already have plenty of beta testers from the online create and water beta's that will move on to the lbp 2 beta when it first goes live, and there has been no confirmation as to whether or not there will be an open public beta for lbp2

Man i hope you are right about that, i got my notification for the LBP.me tests and downloaded, etc, this morning Cant wait to see what LBP2 has in store for us (even though im not the best lvl creator i do enjoy playing other peoples )

Now to just wrangle that Beta tester status that the Mods seem so reluctant to give me

LBP 1 beta wasn't that big... a couple gb... cant remember. an im sure the PSN+ download version of LBP 1 is less than 5 gb full game.

lbp 2 beta is on the way, should start within the next week or 2
anyone who has been involved with lbp beta testing in the past (not including the beta b4 lbp was launched) will have automatic entry into lbp 2 beta
they will also be taking new beta testers, details about how to apply will b coming soon
