One of those toy machine guns that make the shootie noise when you pull the trigger. So hopefully they won't kill me when I get overrun. 
Just kidding. If I were to defend a position against 256 people, I'd probably take one for the team and wipe us all out with the staff like weapon from Aliens vs Predator the movie.
Its seems the most reasonable thing to do, but I guess it depends on what you're defending exactly, as it would probably get wiped out too! Just think of your KDR after it!

What weapon you ask?
Why, the one thing that everyone has felt the brunt of and fears most.
There is no defense against it.
You cannot run or hide from it.
It strikes when you least expect it and leaves its mark forever.
More powerful than the wrath of any MWOD, god, deity or otherwise...
To defeat all 256 opponents in one fell swoop, I call upon the power of LAG & DISCONNECT! (Aka 13:5... it has many names.)
And in the next instant, they are gone and victory is mine and mine alone.

Easy, i would pick up one of those 'Super-Awesome-Mega-Death-Rays' i've been hearing so much about. I would point it to my left (presuming it's small enough to shift in any way) and hit every button on it repeatedly until it finally shoots.
If i miss then i'm kinda stuffed though
