Well its too bad you guys have been experiencing these problems... I've just started playing MAG 2 weeks ago and I have NO PROBLEMS AT ALL getting into a game. It takes less then 4 seconds to get into suppression, same for sabo, maybe 30 seconds average for aqcuisition, and 3-5 minutes for domination... but usually less than one on the weekends. Things have been good lately, you guys who have left should consider coming back!

Been spending some time with this over the past few weeks and the servers are a lot quieter now than they were, but I was still having no problems finding games of Team Deatmatch, sabotage and Domination.
I have bagged my gold trophy for both Valor and SVER so I'm working on my Raven one now. I still love this game, just a shame that it never really took off.

Bought this game around a week ago and brings me back to the first socom on ps2. Might not have as many players as it once did, but I am finding it easy to get into a game any time of the day. It has what appears to be a small but dedicated following.
It is really refreshing to find a console based fps that is engaging. Although the title leaves a lot to be desired.. ![]()

TBH I hav'nt played MAG in ages......
It was a very bold experiment with its sections/platoons & the commanders at all levels.....
The chat system was great especially with commanders being able to speak to other commanders to coordinate plans of action.....
The thing what failed MAG was the community!!!!!
As gamers we scream for better chat systems & being able to command troops all of which we were given but once again certain elements of the community just treated it as a "run & gun" get the Platinum trophy & move on!!!!
When you had commanders who would rather of dropped there ordinance on the enemy rear spawn area to get a high KDR rather than bunkerbust a bunker for the platoon that was struggling & had only just got the AAA down it was doomed to fail....
Tactics & a commander who set sensible/tactical FRAGO's was the key to winning games but far too many gamers did'nt have the tactical mindset needed to command so just served there own interests....

Oh Raven how I miss you. snif snif. The problem lies with shooters in general. The comunity hops to the next bigges and brightest as soon as it hits. Killzone is slain every time Battlefield comes out after and MAG was no exception. The instant thrill of the kill when you gun someone down leads players to the next game all to soon for that natural high. It's a real shame. When MAG worked it was better then sex. I miss not having MAG. ![]()
