SVER scrubs? I just see a butt hurt player. I've played with all the factions thank you very much
You can't blame the devs when it's just down to the fact that the majority of players in SVER are better than the players in the other factions.
At first, players were going on about unbalanced maps, Ravens in particular, I would know because I've spent most of my time playing as Raven; in all the 'betas' and in the full game. They changed a few things around, clearing space for the bunker turrets, even made the maps neutral, still SVER has most of the contracts. It's down to most of the new players joining Raven.
I've had many games where SVER have been beaten very badly in domination, in one game we lost within five minutes; half of the other team was a clan. It's just down to poor teamwork in the other factions.

I stopped reading at this point - Yes I can. Zipper should have had measures to balance the playerbase. Zipper really should've predicted the bandwagoning that has occured from wussy players who all hopped on SVER. Alot of SVER experienced players, are wimps that saw the small imbalances as they developed, and ran to SVER just making things worse.

How can you balance the playerbase!!!?
Theres 3 factions & you can join which one you want everdently you seem to have made a wrong choice ![]()
All through this games short life players have moaned & griped to have things changed to better suite there chosen faction.....
If you want a game thats totally balanced you should of gone played Warhawk when it 1st came out all the weapons were the same for both sides the only thing different was the two planes the Warhawk & Nemisis but both carried the same payload & handled the same the only thing you relied on was your SKILL...........................

The 2 main ideas I see brought up are either, the removal of the Veteran system so that Zipper can have an automated system that specifically chooses players to switch factions based on their current faction and skill level/experience.
Or, alternatively, and likely not as effective, Vet Bribes. Special advantages or special gear that would give those with the balls to do the right thing for game balance, something to show for it.
Either it be new armour, secret weapons, extra skill points, whatever. The reward itself isn't important, just something to make playing on the losing team, if you're a player that ideally should be playing on the team that's faring poorest, more rewarding.
And as for 'wrong choice'. There should never be a 'wrong choice', and that's what pro-game-balance players, such as myself want to see.

A system that removes freedom of choice of faction and dumps players where they are 'needed'? No thanks. That defeats the purpose of factions. Also, there is special gear; Raven has the strongest armour.
I think you're confusing 'balance' with 'I want better players to be handicapped because I'm not able to beat them under normal circumstances'. The idea of winning and losing is winners reap the rewards, losers erm... lose. ![]()

I'm tired of stating time and time again that pro-game balance does not equal wanting to be 'the best' faction. Kindly, either start understanding the position of the person you're going to try and refute, or don't bother.
The purpose of factions isn't just being able to choose which one you're in. That's a nice feature, but ultimately not the main reason, or even a major attraction to the idea.
It's just a neat decision that we were allowed to make, which is shown over the course of this game that it simply doesn't work.
Also, you've openly shown very little knowledge of the game with the 'Raven has the strongest armour' line. Complete rubbish. All the armours are identicle, bar their aestetics. Same for all gear items like Repair Kits and whatnot.
And finally, 'losers erm... lose.' is just pathetic. Sounds to me like you're just afraid of losing your easy mode. It shouldn't ever be a case of one side thinking 'Well, we're going to lose for sure' while the other team knows before the match even launches that they're going to steamroll. It's hard to achieve, but this is ultimately what game balance is, and what Zipper needs to be striving to do.
You're either in favour of game balance, or you're what's wrong with MAG.

What about DLC armours? They're still all identicle stat-wise.
It's not a case of rewarding the bad players, it's a case of spreading-out the good players. Vet bribes would be a reward for good players doing the right thing.
And I agreed with your last paragraph up until 'You can't demand nerfing or balancing when it's down to new players..."
Yes I can. Spread out new players. I, and everyone else who cares about MAG being enjoyable, can and will call for game balance. You don't get to just say 'Eh, it's the players, so it's unfixable. Oh wells.' No, it's not OK to leave it at that. It's broken, and the playerbase has largely shown itself to be full of bandwagoning cowards. If they'd played properly, this game wouldn't have had these issues, and this discussion would not be happening.

I can see what your asking for Ostler5000 but to have it your stepping on the developers profits!!!
At the moment if you want another character slot you PAY FOR IT.....
Maybe what should of happened was as you ranked up to the top level in every faction when you reached level 70 your character was saved for that faction & you moved onto the next till you had all three factions completed....
Then once you had all three completed you have the choice to either play as one ...
Or like the gaming mode selection where you get more XP if you choose more games you could tick you would play as whatever faction needed you as a level 70 Veteran..
But in the end it all comes down to money do Zipper give us 3 faction slots for free!!?
As i'm not prepared to fork out cash for even one extra slot as i'm happy where I am..
