Got a Sennheiser PC 166 USB headset. Means I can chose to have both the game sound and my team mates voices through my headset if I want, so I can still get a feel for surround sound while communicating.

i picked up the Official one a month back, its very good and the best headset i have used,

If anyone hasnt got a Mic for online, and looking to get one... then i would deffo get the Official one.... on Play.com or Amazon for just £17 -- £20

I use and recomend the PS3 eye camera , it doesn't pick up background noise like headsets do . So no annoying extra sounds while playing , 4 mics to pick up sound from anywhere you are .

does any1 know if the final mag will have some kind of ptt rather than this vox system ??

reason, i dont really want to hear baby's crying and wife's shouting, got both of them already. also u generally just get alot of nonsence when ppl die and such and also most of the time i get a echo of some1 games sounds.

so i think a ptt ( push to talk ) button is def needed and lose the cod vox system

i use the MGS4 headset. And yeah by gawd its super annoying when people play with kids screaming in the room or game sounds so loud they echo to everyone. At that point i go mute, im sorry, i dont want to listen to that and by doing so you are ruining the whole game for everyone in your squad.

@noisepurge i was gonna buy 1 of those but game wanted 30 sheets for it and i was like NOOOOOOOOOOO

so i got 1 of these instead its a GioTech camoflague as u can see and cost 17 quid its has all the usual stuff volume control, seceracy/ mute button (cuts out the wife and babys when needed )and the sound quality and mic clarity are good

dude, if that thing really can silence the wife and kids, im off to get 2 (spare incase the first brakes

i must agrre with those that got the official ps3 headset, its an amazing peice of kit, tried aload before i got this with socom and if id known how good it was i would of payed the 30 quid most shops wanted for it.

well worth the money, clearity is great, and when set up properly in hq its really clear, i can here you stiring your tea

yeah man if the missus talks to u or the kids are cryin you hit the secracy button and and u dont need to annoy other ppl

however i think ur talking about it cutting other peoples noise which saddy it doesnt however if people just turned down the thier mic sensitivity we all wouldnt have to suffer the *****ty echo feed back

I have the Official Sony Headset, I bought it on Tuesday, best headset I've used although every time I put it on my ear it wobbles and eventually falls off...
