Cheers OP, fantastic guide and kudos given!

One problem i have other than it can get so chaotic i don't know what the hell i'm supposed to be doing is how dark the game looks. Bit of a strange problem really, when i'm stood still and looking about my FOV is quite bright but as soon as i run the far area i'm running too becomes very dark and enemies become a problem because i just can not see them very well. In all fairness i'm finding the depressingly dull colours a problem in knowing where i need to go and where my enemy is located!

Ingame gamma is on 50

My Samsung LE32 88 (i think it's that's model) LCD settings are :

Mode standard
contrast 85
brightness 75
sharpness 50
colour 70
tint 50/50
colour tone cool1

PS3 settings:

cross colour filter off
RGB full range full
super white on

Still loving the game though, had 2 American guys trash talking at each other last night, they sounded like 2 gang bangers moaning about how one couldn't play a video game properly lmao!!

Are you running 1080p, using composet cables or HDMI? because I have a Vizio and my settings are exactly like that for my tv haha and the PS3 settings are also the same and I run 1080p through HDMI and mine looks pretty bright because I turned the brightness up to 75. Try to mess with the settings on your tv and see if you can come up with something better.

lmfao I might have been one of those Americans because I was in a game and this kid was Squad Leader and he kept rapping in the mic and I liked the song in all but not when I kid sings it or I'm trying to play MAG lol not to mention he didn't know ***** he was doing and it was annoying the hell out of me all he kept saying was TAKE OUT THAT APC......its like we already know that dude lol

If you notice in the top left hand corner it says what platoon you are and to the right it says the other platoon and there leader but doesnt show each squad you can only see the names of the players in your platoon while you wait to load the game

Re: Newbies Guide for MAG (New players please read)

I just wanted to post that squad leaders should always have a FRAGO assigned. Even if it is just "guard the bunker".

I played with a lot of 30-40 level squad leaders that didn't assign FRAGOs until our AA got destroyed or something like that and it seriously limits the XP the squad gets. In defending games there should always be a FRAGO to defend the bunker.

The same goes when attacking. Sure, everybody knows we should take out that gate, but the extra XP is nice.

Yea try to mess around with the setting because when I first played it was kinda dark but it made the graphics look alot better but since I turned the brightness way up and its 1080p and crystal clear I can see guys half way across the map lol its very nice

People argu all the time which is expected its gonna happen I try not to but sometimes people just ***** me off when I'll give orders and they don't do them and after we start losing they get all ***** and try to tell everyone what to do and what they tell them to do is the same thing I told them lol

Re: Newbies Guide for MAG (New players please read)

This helps a lot, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I was trying to kill people with a sniper and they wouldn't die until I realised I was shooting my own team lol. :smileyvery-happy:
