Just to clarify a few points:
- Membership requests must be submitted on playfire.com .. if you really want to join, you should go there and setup an account (it's free), if you don't have one already, and fill in all the information you're comfortable with sharing. Take the time to fill in the list of games you own (especially for the PS3) as that'll help other clanmates match their list with yours and facilitate setting up future events.
- When you're done, do a search for EFR through that search box at the top and when our clan pops up, access our main page. There's a "Request Membership" button at the top right you should press to start the process. No application should be entertained until the applicant does this -- if for nothing else, it's the best way to make sure people understand playfire is our official home and the best/easiest way to send applicants the short version of EFR's Rules of Conduct, which is a crucial step in this process.
- Once this is done, and the applicant has agreed to the rules, he or she should send a PSN Friend Request -- specifically mentioning that it's about joining EFR -- to one or two clan members. This will allow the applicant to receive an invite to our Public Chatroom and allow clan members to arrange a few gaming sessions so both the applicant and the clan members can get a good feel for each other and see if we're "right" for each other.
- This process can be quick or it can take some time. The thing to remember is that nobody likes whiners, so be patient and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We do this process to ensure the likelyhood of future problems is as low as possible, and we're very transparent about it. An entry on the relevant topic will me made for each applicant and all votes (for and against) will be registered there -- all these discussions, however, will occur on the clan's forum which is private.
- Most (if not all) our discussions will and should take place on the clan's forum over on playfire. For a number of reasons, the first being privacy, the forum is completely private -- only members can access it.
- Now, we're not a MAG-only clan, nor are we about being "elite" so EFR'ians are encouraged to take this procedure to any other game that's listed on the clan's main page (there are quite a few there already).. If your chosen game is not listed, start a topic on our forums and bring the matter up -- the idea is that it should be a game that a few members own or plan on owning.
It's a good idea, however, to send someone a PM through PSN or Playfire, or even post here, when you intend to join. And if, for any reason, your chosen playfire name differs from the PSN id you'll be using, you should clearly indicate that so we'll know who's who.
I know this sounds like a lot of beaurocracy, but it's really not. The whole thing usually goes by very quickly and helps things on the long run. If you're serious about joining -- and not just doing it for the tag -- take the time to do it right, ok?
