The Voice Chat Pledge!

Oh yes.

One of the most proliferant niggles I've heard from you lot from this phase of the beta has been thus:

"No one uses the voice comms!"

So, I propose a pledge:

"This community will pledge that, in every match of MAG we will play, we will shout out targets, we will talk to our leaders and provide them with information and we will banter till our throats run dry over our mics. We will do our best to set an example for MAG gamers by making every effort to get other players talking on the battlefield."

Take the pledge and, if you think something should be added, post it in your reply :smileyhappy:

I would use the mic more often, if ever there was someone to speak too.

Re: The Voice Chat Pledge!

i pledge (as above :smileytongue:), mics are a vital part of squad co-ordination

but we need voice comms for groups outside game. is pretty annying that there is no lobby chat for groups while everyone is getting organised, my clan and i had to resort to text chat, which it very slow without a keyboard

There are always people who can hear though. That helpful shout of 'he's behind you random number 1' could be all the difference that's needed to encourage random number 1 to switch his own mic on.

I do feel somewhat foolish jabbering away with no one responding, but silent games are depressing.

And its fun too ! "

Amen.

Re: The Voice Chat Pledge!

Actually, maybe some of you could help me. My current headset is the "Official Sony PS3 Wireless  Bluetooth Headset".  This one in the picture. I find it awful to use. It's comfortable enough to wear, and easy enough to set up. But the I find that the mic is too sensitive and picks up any noise within the room. For example, if my brother is in the room, the mic will pick up him talking swell, which I don't want.

I want to buy a new headset, but one that will only pick up the words coming out of my mouth. And not everything that's going on in my room.

Any advice on what to go for?

What mic do you use?
