For at least two minutes at the start of the match or completely for the various leaders.
There was plenty of language coming from me, aimed at the prat who immediately after the game started voted to kick our SL.
A few minutes later our SL stood down. I was having a chat with him saying he shouldn't have.
The prat who voted to kick him didn't SL so we were without for a bit, so I stepped in.

OK, OK, first things first: don't ever bite back. If a mod is in the room you'll end up getting a warning/suspension along with the person giving you grief.
Second, personally I'm not 100% sure that closing vote to kick at the start of the match is a good idea, so I'm going to leave it open to discussion. If the general consensus is that this feature would be beneficial to the gaming experience, I'll submit it as a feature request.
Finally, I completely disagree with excluding officers from the vote to kick. I've had officers who kept marking their own targets as fragos just to earn points for themselves: defintiely someone who should not be leading.
So - a 2 minute amnesty at the start of the match for vote to kick: what do you think?

Therein lies the problem MB. We the humble players don't know who initiated the kick.
We all know the reason why the SL is being voted to kick at the very beginning of the match though. It's because person prat wanted to be a squad leader, but wasn't chosen by the game.
T-e-x I'm not entirely sure I agree with you there. Yes there are times when a clan will vote to kick someone just to get their own member as SL, BUT and this has happened to my clan a few times, somebody from outside the clan has decided to initiate a kick for a clan member, and kept on trying. Now in that scenario I agree with the clan members who will kick said repeat offender off the team.

I generally disagree.
I mean, a lack of leadership within the first few minutes can be pretty costly. Whether it be a lack of direction, strategy etc, the game can very much be won or lost within those opening few minutes.
A 'Vote to Demote' type feature could help to solve the problem by demoting the SL from their position if the squad feels as though they're not doing their job; after all, there's no need to remove them from the game just because they're not great at the role.
Regardless, it was requested a long time ago over on the MAG forums, but nothing has been done about it, so it's just one of those things..
