Who will keep playing?

Who plans on still playing this game a couple of months down the line?

personally i love this game, one of my favourite multiplayer FPS, im level 51 and ive played roughly 40 hours so i plan on playing until at least 60...

i'd love to keep playing this game forever.. but player numbers have been decreasing and if you look at aquisition usually raven have about 800 and the other 2 only have about 400 people each, and unless there is some DLC or something i dont see numbers going up :smileyindifferent:

Re: Who will keep playing?

Looking at the competition (MW2 & BFBC2), the regular MAG lovers will all agree that this game is still top of the pops for FPS. If you fancy a single, offline story shoot-out then play the others, but when it comes to online shootery MAG is what you want. Well it is for me anyway. I cant really see me wanting to play any other online FPS until MAG 2.
STAY COOL - HAPPY GAMING

Re: Who will keep playing?

I'm pretty much set on continued play as I think this game is superb in terms of online play however it does need a boost to keep it fresh

Re: Who will keep playing?

I love MAG for the most of the time awesome multiplayer experience. It offers so many variations and after more than 100 hours of playing (lvl 18, 1st vet) I still learn new things and I am still getting assigned to parts of maps where I've never been before. I think I'm addicted to this game.

However, there are many good new games out there, especially on PS3, and there was not so much advertising for MAG, at least not in Germany. Honestly, the artwork didn't appeal to me neither, looked like just-another-FPS, which isn't true in any means. Furthermore, I got the impression that many game reviews were too negative, or should I say biased? Only comparing MAG with MW2 mutliplayer, even though MW2 can be some fun too, the overall winner for me definitely is MAG. Actually, at the first place I didn't plan to buy the game when it was released, but was soon convinced by an enthusiastic gamer who spent the entire night playing it. I did never regret.

I hope MAG will be successful at the long run and we all will have even more fun with the new patches and DLC. Zipper did a great job with MAG. And more advertising from Sony could keep it fresh. I also think that players who did enjoy MAG started playing other games, e.g. Bad Company 2, and will return to MAG occasionally.

Re: Who will keep playing?

Just got BF:BC2 today but you cannot stick to one shooter all the time, well I can't anyway. I play MAG, Killzone 2 and now BC2 throughout the week to break things up and so I get the best of both worlds what each game has to offer :smileywink:

NOW PLAYING:  Max Payne 3

Re: Who will keep playing?

Well I'm playing MAG till platinum, then we'll see. But I've got my BF:BC2 copy standing right to my PS3 waiting. I don't want mix things up, I've played BF:BC2 demo and I know how it looks and feels so I think it can wait a few weeks....

Re: Who will keep playing?

I usually only play one FPS at a time - before MAG it was Killzone 2, so I'll be here for the long run.

We need new maps though - or at least flip sides on the current maps.

Re: Who will keep playing?

I'm enjoying it too much to stop. I've not been this into a game in a long while, best thing since sliced bread.. This game certainly takes some getting used to and I think a few people fall at that first hurdle. Once you begin to understand it the level of depth, variety, scale and hectic fun make this game unmatched

I think the online play stands get better as people learn the maps, tactics and styles of play & as the fair weather players go onto other games. I've already seen big improvements over the last month in the general ability of grunts.....the competition and the games keep getting better
