This has become a very frustrating problem with me - I am unable to play through a single match without losing my connection to the game universe.

The worst part is that I've played enough to decide that I do actually enjoy the game, and now the carpet has been pulled from under my feet.

And the punchline is that I paid £40 for the priviledge.

I've forwarded all the ports needed, and I've not been experiencing any lag prior to losing connection.

Is this a common problem that I can expect to be patched soon? Or have the powers that be just not provided ample server power and the game proved to be a little more massive than they anticipated?

It's really hard to sort these things out since the MAG (or PS3 itself) don't offer any tools to test net quality for the gaming servers. I have had some days when nothing seems to work and some days I get no problems at all.

But yes,, I know many on our clan who have been having serious issues with the MAG. Especially on larget game modes there's way too oftem too much lag and disconnections that we could all play as a team.

I am having the exact same issue elwombat, I've put the PS3 in the DMZ and everything to no avail.

Not sure what's causing this but i'm really hoping they are able to patch it.

I had these issues during the beta stage, however since the games was released I have only been disconnected once (when I atempted to remove myself from a queue).

The same thing has been happening to me for the last week its pretty ***** annoying because it usually happens in the last 5 minutes of a domination match when i'm up for 500+ points. funnily enough the same thing started happening to me on SOCOM a couple of months ago which now puts that game on the unplayable pile.

I had same problems in the beginning... resolved by. 1. Disable Media Servers in network settings 2. Use wired connection instead of wireless Let us know how you get on...

Thanks oldschool - I'll give it a try. Unfortunately wired isn't an option but I did try wiring the PS3 up to my PC (which is obviously going to have a more powerful network adapter than the weak lil one in PS3) - no improvement.

I'll try turning off media server and see if this helps. Glad I'm not the only one having problems - at least it means my system isn't entirely to blame

i have the same problem  just like u VANTAGE, buts it's always the matches where i do really well.

I get the error 5:4 and 5:5

Hmmm, either the game universe gods are smiling on me today or turning my media server off worked. I'll let you know if the problem comes back. Otherwise...

No probs. I think it may be common to most online games. Kudo's to you too for not automatically slagging off the game/servers like most other ppl who have local issues Hope you enjoy your games more now
