[Shot_Stopper]

Is it me or is everyone desperatly wanting this game to be amazing and missing the fact that there is far too much that could go wrong and will never live up to this idealised mass scale war with everyone playing their part as they are imagining?

anyone that has played kilzone2 will tell you that even 16 players per side turns into a spam fest....nobody could care less about playing as a team in generral...everyone will wanna snipe..peopel who want good kill death ratios will camp and not care about the team....people will find glitches....people whill wh0re vehicles...the framerate will plummet when some decent action happens...the weapons dont seem to have any 'oomph' seem flimsy and death animations are poor leaving you thinking 'is he actually dead?'

now i want every game that comes out to be amazing so i am spoiled for choice...i have been playing games since spectrum and amstrad and i suppose im a bit more of a realist...something tells me M.A.G is the video game equivalent of the titanic..does no one else see it?

the very things that people are looking forward to will be the things that let it down..namely the scale..and the tactics/teamwork...online games youl be lucky to find a bunch of your mates willing to chip in with the team..the reast will camp or have a wildy different opinion on what the best tactics are

dnt b so mean hes got valid points ... i personally think it will be awsome , also the game designers have shourlly thought about all of this . e.g. to rank up you have to work in a team ... also other game modes for lone solders will be in the game ... =)

All good and valid points. I too share some of that fears.

But i don't think you can actually compare Killzone2 with MAG since MAG heavily relies on teamwork. That is one of its prime appeals. You can't rank up if you don't work as a team, you have to work and stay with your Team in order to accomplish your tasks. So i hope that these "rules" will force everyone to cooperate and not camp out or go off on their own.

I really hope that this is how its going to work, because this is why i find the game concept so cool: To work and cooperate with your teammates to achieve your goal. Otherwise MAG would just be a generic FPS.

I too know what you are saying here. I worry about how the game will be played by those few that try to ruin it for everyone else  Right now COD4 is being ruined by glitchers and everyone wanting to be a sniper. All we can do is put our faith in Zipper to know what players dont like in a game and hope they have some way of stopping it

thanks for the posts fellas..and great to see im not the only that fears these things

as killzone proved the devs can make a great game..but one thing the cant do is make you play it how they want...i gave up on that game..lost count of the amount of times i was planting s&d bombs and shouting for assistance on my mike only for an enitre team to not care and snipe from bak of the map while the get diffused

i hope they are testing the h3ll out of this game to work out how things will play out..and not just the devs who wil play it as intended..because 90% of the population are selfish and when your game relies on teamwork it could get really frustrating for those wanting to play properly..hopefully they get the balancing right too...all this game needs is 1 overpowered weapon like a rocket launcher to ruin things....u can just imagine the rocket launcher noobs now spamming shots into crowds of players....and like i said..if killzone was manic with 32...just imagine the spamming and slimey tactics on a mass scale..hopefully they have thought of everything

Kinda agree with some of what your saying shot_stopper but these are problems from the comunity not the devs hardwork. Totally agree bout the rpg issue but there has to be something in there for all types of players and this is imo aimed more towards realism (regards tactics etc) than other fps around.

TBH i think the players who just wanna run around shooting will get bored if there not reaping the same kinda rewards as cod games and either leave the shadow war section alone and just play the other modes available or go back to cod4.
