Farewell, my sweet prince.

(Thread Music) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyE0UabtLn0

Over the past few years, us forumers have cut ourselves off from the main board. We were brought together through the love of one game series, bonding over our imaginery drinks, before finally battling each other in the series that was all a big part of us.

Four years have passed, alot has gone on, but we've all gotten to know each other. There was some fall outs, romances, rivalries, but most importantly, there was a combined passion.

The first match on the beta release had us wondering how to use our guns, what was this new style of gunplay that was going on? What do you mean I'm aiming over my shoulder? I can roll in a barrel? What the hell is that cannon?!

On to the games release, some great maps, and the game modes. Winning a game of Rescue when you were against all odds. Securing the gako just before the enemy won the game on Capture.  Or even just sneaking up on an unsuspecting player, grabbing him from behind and choking him, Only to Salute him and let him live.

Then the clan games began with [PS] We had a good run with Pro and Alias leading us, later by Lordy and myself. Our first clan battle was hard fought, but we pulled through, even against the odds. Several times we came out on top despite being the underdog's.

The new maps, one by one released with the new characters, bringing new life to a game.
Then came our inevitable hatred towards it, something we loved had become unpure, tainted by those that took the fun away.

However, we held on, and returned to this game, that brought us, as a community, closer together. There's been many a great memory been had with the people of this forum.

It may seem stupid to some, but playing this game, with such a great bunch of guys, helped me through some terrible times. It will be sadly missed.

Fairwell, My sweet prince.

GO GO GO, GO GO GO, GO GO GO, GO GO GO, GO GO GO,

it went. :smileysad:

EDIT:

I had to say more, it seems a little dumb not to.
[PS] was my first clan and I will never forget it. The good and the bad, and there hasn't been anything like it since for me. Thank you Pub dwellers new and old, come and gone... it was educational.
I shouldn't have tried to type this with the music still playing I'm getting sad. I hope one day we can do something like that again, and I'd try to not be such a complainer. I've learned from my mistakes.

Or even just sneaking up on an unsuspecting player, shield bashing him from behind and chasing him half-way around the map, only to knock him out but then wake him up and saluting him as you walk away. Just to get shot in the back of the head half of the time that you do this.

Re: Farewell, my sweet prince.

I just realised that the photos I took last night are gone because I errr... clicked save instead of export. XD

However, I dug up a few old photos, which I thought to share with you all, from some of the best moments we've had over the last 4 years of MGO. Thanks for all the memories guys! :xCry:

Re: Farewell, my sweet prince.

Great post Muz, and the music definitely added emotion to it! ='(

You brought back many memories to me, all the way back to the Beta!

I remember waiting for it to become live and everything! Including it not being able to handle everyone trying to get on it haha. XD

I'll try and post some pictures that I've got although seeing the topic Surreal just linked, some are the same ones and I even went on MGO and got them all again haha!

I also have a few from the fun night last night, not many but a few.

Goodbye MGO. ='(

Hopefully we can continue our adventures on MGO3!
