I hold no hope for a new Metal Gear Online, we know it'll be full of rambos who don't sneak so what's the point.

Doesn´t anyone else feel sad for their characters? I mean I have played well over 30 hours and have trained his skills for such a long time, and now he has to die (get deleted).

Yes we can play on some Fun Night Soon and hopefully on the DLC when it's free .... ![]()

Shame to hear this as I really did enjoy MGO for the relatively small amount of time I spent on it. I purchased the expansion packs for it but didn't get to use them all that much as some of you might remember Konami banned my account as a result of (what I assume was a hacker) using my account to intrude upon someone else's.
It would be some consolation to me especially if they refunded the players that purchased the dlc (though it won't happen as that is all the money that Konami earnt from the dlc).
I joined MGO in December of 2009, when I got my 250gb ps3 and I only wish I could've seen it in it's prime when everyone was playing it all the time!
After what happened to my account though, I am glad to know that Konami are shutting down MGO, on the bright side nobody will be affected by what I was ever again.
I sold MGS4 (loved the single player but the banning of my account rendered the online portion for me, useless and I decided that it wasn't worth all the hassle and wasn't played much anyway)
I just wish the £10 was reimbursed but Konami didn't believe me and I doubt they'd do it anyway no matter what I said. Wish I hadn't wasted my money on what I think was some brilliant content (loved the maps and characters) that would become useless to me. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Just as something I'd like to point out however, is for to show that I genuinely didn't hack into someone's account.
Let me ask you this:
If I were a hacker and had purchased some content for a game I loved would I want to risk getting permanently banned on said game?
I really do miss MGO and hope it is brought back in some form in the new Metal Gear game.
R.I.P. MGO, a fantastic online portion of a quality game!
P.S. - sorry for the rant ![]()

MGO died a long time ago.
It will hold a place in my gaming heart, I invested a lot of time, money and energy into my character and the game. I'll probably never get into another competitive game quite like I did that, so it'll always be special.
Agreed, MGO was probably the only game in which I've had a proper clan in. [PS] is what made me enjoy MGO in the first place. Survival was such good fun back then. ![]()

It was never as good as the first MGO, and it had too many problems. Still a nice game though, shame to see it go.
The only reason it's making you guys sad is because MGO(1) was what brought us all together tbh. But definatly agree on a game sometime, will be pretty fun. Will have to bash the old headset out ![]()
