Yeah, I refuse to reply to a post unless I know I'll get kudos for it.

I agree about the whole trophy thing.

As for not playing them ever again, I played the original MGS2 just the other week.

So I have no worries about never playing these MGS games again, I'm sure I will. :smileyvery-happy:

Less than a week...

That was actually the plan... XD

Aimed to do it before today and then start MGS3 today.

Maybe another aim of starting Peace Walker next Thursday? Haha...

And speaking of MGS3... I noticed so many graphical glitches throughout my playthrough today. It was pretty disappointing to see...

I'm pretty sure I've never seen any of them in the PS2 version either.

Also framerate was another problem too, not too bad though, main one was just whenever Volgin make his body really electric.

Pretty crazy to think that PS3 can't handle some stuff that was fine on the PS2 (as far as I know), then again I don't know what goes into it all etc so probably not fair of me to say.

Edit: Oh! And one thing I noticed while playing was magazines on tables in Graniny Gorki Lab.

I don't recall what was there in the original, but I saw one magazine mentioning MGS4. =)

Re: MGS HD Collection

Oh yeah I thought there was another!

You know the comic book for MGS1 that eventually got turned into Digital Graphic Novel?

I saw that in MGS3 too. :smileyvery-happy: (Don't know if that was in the original or not.)

Re: MGS HD Collection

The subsistence version had magazines with snake eater front covers, i.e. real magazines etc etc. What snake eater itself had I cant remember.

I always viewed the MGS series as one of those where you could never do EVERYTHING, and there'd always be a reason to go back. Trophies abolish that hope, and that's why I dislike them.
Games become a to do list, once complete, what do you have? A list full of scribbles to throw away.

I view them as nice little bonuses but I wouldn't allow them to dictate how and what I play, I don't mind striving for a Platinum if I really like a game but at the same time I wouldn't care about gaining more trophies on a game I really like to play over and over. I can take them or leave them.

I do find it odd when others go nuts over them, people who won't play MGS4 for lack of trophies seem mad to me.

Re: MGS HD Collection

I just wish I could turn off the jingle and the notification when I get one. Most of the time I'm not bothered they're popping up.
I guess I just preferred gaming in the PS2 era where my games didn't keep a list of how much I've missed out, or suggesting ways to play that I normally wouldn't. For example, in Metal Gear I don't hold people up so much, but if I were hunting for trophies I'd have to go out of my way to hold people up.
But yeah like I say, I just wish I could ignore them.
