i bought it on thursday so it should arrive on tuesday or wednesday because of the bank holiday but ive heard alot of great things about it like 'its the best game on the PSP' etc, im just wandering what makes it so good?
Im playing Portable Ops at the moment and im loving that, im expecting Peace Walker to be very similar so what makes Peace Walker better than PO?
Any replies are appreciated, Thanks

Wow erm... Where to start?
There is so much more content than there is in Portable Ops it's unbelievable.
Story is great, you have a few proper cutscenes like you would see on the Home Consoles.
I think every line of dialogue has voice acting with it, so you actually hear the conversation in codec calls, not just read them like in Portable Ops.
Capturing guards using the Fulton Recovery System is addicting. XD
But yeah it's great. =D
PS: Someone else may do a better job of explaining. XD
Oh, and not to mention there's co-op too! ![]()

It's in Portable Ops but the only thing I can remember it was for was online...
But in Peace Walker it's how you capture guards. It's takes them back to your base.
Here's a picture. ![]()

I think the sheer amount of content availible within the game is probably what sets it above portable ops. Every aspect of PO that annoyed me was ironed out in PW, the controls, the aforementioned fulton system, the story, the lack of mechs and the load out system.
Outer ops lets you dispatch your captured troops and mechs to warzones, these play out for you and unlocks you items, you can also build mother base (outer heaven) and your very own metal gear.
My only gripes with peace walker are the interactive cutscenes and the lack of a good boss fight, that doesn't stop it being the best game on the platform though.

True, but the first trailer for the game revealed the outer heaven bit and Kojima revealed the build your own metal gear bit somewhere along the lines, they hardly ruin the game.
@OP, for a rundown of the story you could download the metal gear solid database ehrn PSN os back up (its free) or visit the metal gear wiki. Or play the games I guess.
