Watching the trailer again they seem to have given him the typical "boss guy and quirky girl" side kicks who assist him over the radio.

also, even though its set in the metal gear timeline, after watching the trailer, it doesnt have the metal gear feel, if that makes sense. sure it looks a good game but personally i dont think i will be able to look at it as part of the metal gear series.

i read in playstation magazine, in the interview with hideo, he said at this moment they wasnt planning on re-releasing the original MGS in HD, but if there was enough call for it then its something they would probably do, but they would have to totally recreate it with the same story.

he also went onto say that at some point they will probably have to bring back snake in another metal gear solid, with hideo being on the sidelines as he is with rising. but he said this about MGS4. so maybe if another MGS is eventually released, it will bring back the "metal gear feel". i dont know how they will do it with how mgs4 ended, but if, just IF... they do, ill be waiting

It's a spin off game not a metal gear solid game and people are already saying the game is going to be rubbish only from the trailer has been shown, nobody has played the game yet in demo form or whatever, until then you can judge a game on a trailer

No it isn't it's set after 4 now Kojima's story had it betweens 2 and 4 but the story has been completely rewritten now.

Everytime I watch this trailer I get more and more disgusted, this is all about cutting enemies into hundreds of pieces. I wish Snake could show up and kick all their butts with cqc, and show them how it should be done.

What ever happend to the good old days, when you had to sneak into a base, fight against a super soldier, and get rewarded with a cutscene?

I´m still going to get it , but I am probably not going to love it like the other MGS games.
