I liked those too, it was somethink quirky and made you take a break. Smoking shouldn't really be promoted like that though in fairness.

I dread to think how big the full install is going to be?!

I don't think it promoted Smoking. It made Snake look out of date and stubborn in every scene where he had a cigarette, they made him feel awkward, not to mention the amount of No Smoking signs in the game.
His cig breaks even had health warnings while the game installed. I think it showed well Snake's stubborn and reckless attitude toward his body. You're meant to look at him and think, jeeeeez Snake another cig? You're ill!

Yeah I get the in the game context but I just meant these install breaks. Really it says, you have nothing to do here for a while; one way to pass this time is with cigarettes. It's the same reason why TV ads for smoking were banned but anyway that's another matter ;-)

I'm not just trying to nay say every point you make, but the installs didn't say that to me at all.
They said: Snake is a relic of times past, he still thinks smoking makes you look cool, it's not the 60s you black lung room stinkifier... isn't Snake a silly old man... look at this fool puffing away, smoking himself to death when he's probably the only guy who can save the world, what a tool.

I think we're going a bit off topic here but if you're not a smoker already and then the install screens for MGS4 turn you into one then I don't think MGS4 is the real problem in that persons life. 

It will be nice to be able to install them all in one go then not have to worry about it again but I did quite like the whole 'take a break' concept and 'kept you waiting huh?'

That is pretty good though, I disliked having to install every chapter when you get to it every time you played the game.

Would be even better for a director's cut though like Substance and Subsistence.

Add some VR Missions to it! (Yes I know VR's not needed anymore storywise, but it would still be cool!)

Could also add a Boss Battle Mode too, and maybe a Demo Theater?

You get the idea. =)

Edit: Oh and only 34 trophies? When MGS2 and MGS3 have 46 and Peace Walker has 50? Ah well.

I think that if anything this re-release and patch confirm that we won't be getting a Substance/Subsistence style version of MGS4, atleast not on this generation of consoles, which is a shame, but oh well.
