Apparently Metal Gear Solid 5 was being shown behind closed doors at Comic Con and the title of Project Ogre is in fact an acronym for: Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavour.

So does this mean that we're getting a more open-world experience then we've been used to in the past? As long as they can retain the choice of options that MGS4 gave us, I should have no problem with this at all.

The messages from the screens read:

"The moment we were cast out of heaven, we became monsters."

"The paradise is born of the bloodstained earth." (?)

-"Would she have wanted this?"

-"That doesn't matter now."

So from the information that we're given, it looks like this continues on from the end of Peace Walker and is the pre-cursor to the establishment of Outer Heaven. It looks like the battle between Big Boss and Zero will also play an important role in the game and some of the fragmented writing in the leaked screens suggest that the "Les Enfants..." project will be shown in some form as well.

I'll stick to my usual 'Not get excited until I have the game in my hands' approach that has worked for me since MGS3. That way I am never disappointed and it avoids all the silly predictions that turn out to be miles off lol

Interesting news if it is reliable. I realise the open world thing is speculation but MGS4 lets you tackle many scenarios with a variety of routes and tactics so I can see potential for how an open world MGS game might feel.

Personally I wouldn't expect to see a release any time before Q3 2013

I feel like I'm saying the same stuff as with 4 and Rising lol, It'll be promised for Christmas, then put back to new year then we won't see it till June. They've done it too many times XD

In all fairness, Konami are better at sticking close to release dates than Square Enix are.

I'm kind of thinking if it is open world it will expand upon how Snake Eater was I guess with larger open areas.

I keep having visions though of Crysis which Im not sure if it is a good thing, or a bad thing were you have a large open world and reconnaissance is key to plotting your mission.

To all those who were wondering, this has been confirmed as being fake from Kojima himself.

Still, as far as fakes go, these were pretty imaginative.
