Konami Continues To Tease MGS4 Trophy Patch
They've heard you. Stop sending them e-mails begging for trophies.

US, August 7, 2009 - What is perhaps the worst tease in gaming history, Konami issued a statement on its Kojima Productions podcast (via Examiner) regarding the chances of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriotsreceiving a patch update to finally implement trophies for the game. 

Assistant Producer Sean Eyestone tried to set things straight with fans who keep sending Konami their requests. He made it clear the company is listening and they'll announce something when they're ready. 
"Just to address one issue that we've been getting a lot of comments about. And this is, of course, about trophies." 

"I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we're not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. It's just that we can't say anything just yet." 

"But as soon as we have something to say, we will announce it. So, if we can just ask everyone to just be patient, we will give you an answer. But right now we can't say anything. So we just ask for everyone's understanding with that and just ask for everybody to remain patient and we'll let you know."

At this point, a trophy update seems likely. Konami will probably re-release MGS4 with added content, such as they've done in the past will all the other Metal Gear games, and include a trophy update in that version as well as a download patch. 

We're waiting, Konami.

This is no different from hideo's statement long ago where he said it may or may not get trohpys and he has nothing more to say this just to stop all the annoying fkwit's who complain who ***** need's trophy's for 4 ive played it so many time's xD this game doesnt need trophies in-game emblem's are enough.

Hopefully no MGO trophies, you could cheat them too easy off other accounts.

Agreed.

The emblems are enough. Can't people just enjoy the game without the trophies?

The only reason trophies would be released for MGS4 is for Konami to make more money from trophy hoarders.
