So you expect everyone to trace everything to it's source to check with the original creator whether it can be used? Not been on the internet much have you? And you can't give permission under the creative commons act because the image and use of Snake is NOT your property. If you make something using someone elses property you cannot them claim exclusive access and rights to that image. Especially when released into the public domain and then have a hissy fit if someone else uses it (and doesn't even claim they made it).
