dw aussieracer, it's coming to the ps3 and pc.  Though I have to say, I'm really disinterested in it, going to 360 or not.

I think for me to be as interested in it as MGS it would have to actually have to be something to do with the original storyline and characters.  If it's just an ninka action game then what a pity.

lol I should have known.  Countdowns usually end up being letdowns.  I feel like Kojima owed us fans some kind of a warning ahead of time not to get excited

Definitely not a 360 exclusive, there would have been fireworks, lazer lightshows and chest bumping at the MS press conference if that was the case.

I'm actually really interested in this though, could be a new different experience in the MGS world and Raiden was seriously badass in MGS4 you can't deny it. I didn't actually watch any video of the press conference so can anybody tell me if there was a trailer shown?

I do hope they announce another more traditional MGS game at the Sony press conference though that would be so freakin awesome!

I don't know why people are dissing this game, when no info, images or trailers have been released yet. All we know is the title and that it stars Raiden. Kojima is yet to make a crap game, so have faith...while this may not be traditional MGS, it will probably still be a good game in it's own right, and maybe the beginning of a new series. You can't keep making the same sh*t forever.

i guess it is hard for some ppl, me included, to see a meaningful experience coming out of a action game revolving around raiden.

Don't get me wrong, it will prolly be fun, but it isn't going to have the same gravitas, realism (yes it's always been heightened realism in mgs, but this seems like it'll tip it all the way over into silly) and politcal commentary that is in the other installments.

I, for one, actually look forward to MGS: Rising, I think it'll be very interesting. Having said that though, when the announcement was first made that it was an MGS game starring Raiden that was going to be more action based, I couldn't help but think "Ninja Gaiden...Raiden?"

yeah, seen that youtube vid. It doesn't really show anything other than the title, an image of raiden and a voice that says 'raiden is back', lol. I'm really curious to see some footage of this, and more details on the story. Kojima seems pretty confident in this game, so I got a feeling it's going to be really good. I will definately miss what MGS once was, but it'll be interesting to try something new.

Im thinking it could be more like MGS 2 or 3

which is not a bad thing...  though MGS 4

remains my favourite game of all time

Anyway it is Kojima so it will be a great game

(most likely) Im not expecting it to be as good as

MGS 4..But it will be at least good

In saying that my expectations have been 

surpassed with every installment
