I'm not insulting your play ability. I personally barely ever play racing games, this is the first one I've actually bought in a long time. And I bought it primarily for the creation aspect.
This game just requires some near perfect execution, especially on the final lap. You have to know the course, and that comes from some practice. I've never seen AI "drop out of the air" to beat me, especially when I have a huge lead.
Regardless, the man need not apologize. He's made a great game, and I'm sorry you don't believe him.

What you are insulting is not our playing ability, but our intelligence. As if all the people complaining, including practically every professional critical review, are either seeing things or making things up. That is much more insulting.
You are in the minority with your opinion and many people disagree, the countless posts of upset players are enough to attest to that.

I didn't call him a liar, if you go back and read my original response in this thread, I called him a politician. A politician doesn't necessarily lie, he bends the truth in order to downplay an obvious negative and to make himself or his country (company in this case) look good, or he answers a question, but doesn't really answer what was sought after. In this case, why does it appear that there is rubberbanding in the game?
Instead of being straightforward with the question asker, he just denied that there was rubberbanding in the game, but didn't truly address why the results appear to be the same. He merely said, "they are just really really good drivers." That may be true, but that doesn't get to the heart as to why they are "really really good," I believe it is due to unfair advantages, not necessarily rubberbanding. You disagree, so be it. On the other hand, most people who have played the game seem more on my side in this matter due to their experience with the game.

Yeah...it's impossible to not notice it...Just blow one of the bosses up, wait a second..and then watch him full throttle accelerate past you to win the race..
It's called "his acceleration setting was higher than average". You DO know you can change those, right?
