Hi . First I want to say I love modnation and will be sorry to see any demise for it but i cant help but be excited fpr lbp karting,The video looks great so far but... the props are a bit flat.. So Ive started this post in the hope that somebody from ufg reads this to ask please please can u add ( which im sure u have so im probably wasting my time asking lol) proper 3d shapes to work with .. spheres, pyramids, cones ect. Its all very well sticking 2.5d pieces together to make psudo 3d objects but I for one want to carve a castle out of a solid block of material , custom make a cone into a mountain and carve out a cavern inside with lbp and mod tools, sprays ect, I want to be able to mould a sphere into planets, put a gravity chip in the center and make super mario galaxy racing levels.. And please make all materials have the option of merging without the need for a merging tool ( ive not used 1 but understand it gets rid of collision detection) with no layer limits , or size ones.
Now i saw the green spotty eggs and the balls which im hoping are custom made and not just props but then I noticed 2 halves of a tree put together to make a 3d tree so im not so sure. I obviously dont know any programing but feel these features are an easy add and definatly feel if they are not in it will be a great loss
Anyhow I hope this somehow gets back to UFG and that also people add to this post to say what thgey would like in the game as now is the time to speak up and see modnation reincarnate into something they want to play ... many thanks.. Cat

Dammit I forgot to add and Im not sure if lbp already has one but can we pretty please with a cherry on top have a custom axis point bending tool ..like the one in google sketch up .. In fact google sketch up style 3d modelling would be awsome : )

I was talking to Onepoppa about this earlier and we both agreed that, whilst LBC has the best of intentions MM/UFG are not going to care at this stage about our thoughts of what should be included as creation tools.
The game is likely at 75% complete by now, the main coding etc will be done near enough so now they're concentrating on playtesting/debugging etc, which takes ages.
Hopefully though they will take into account the HUGE amount of feedback we've provided about this game over the last two years and incorporate a great deal of this into LBP: Karting when it's released this autumn. ![]()

I would ablolutely love all of the things LBC talked about. I had focused mainly on what i was hearing about lbp logic before i saw the video. I am greatly looking forward to creating unique dynamic props. Having viewed the video I have some specific thoughts. 1) The game is likely almost totally complete. I hope the developers have done their research into what makes a good track and add to it. 2) I was very impressed at the variety of racing surfaces, as well as some of the kart creation options like rockets instead of wheels 3)The props look different. Bummer. Not End Of The World style bummer, but I really appreciate the reality in appearance of the props we use now. I am hopeful that we will be able to work with what they give us in such a way as to make what we want, but we may have to alter our expections while we learn the 'tricks' 4)I am really, really going to be bummed at the prospect of no MNR. All of that being said i absolutely enjoy the modnation community I am a part of. There are parts we all would like changed, but none of them enough to make this anything less than the greatest game ever -1P

I am not very excited about LBP Kart racing. Only 8 to a room online it seems, and the graphical style just isn't my cup of tea. I dislike how the LBP world seems to lack contrast and brightness. Look at MNR and LBP Kart side by side:

now for LBP Karts:

Yeah, I hate the graphical style as well, put me off right from the word go. My thoughts? There's more than enough room for BOTH games to co-exist happily, come on guys, make an MNR2, it'll be AWESOME! ![]()
