Deleting downloaded creations

Is it possible to delete ONLY the creations I've downloaded, and no other save data of this game? I want to do that because my creation collections are all quite messy, especially tracks, and sorting out the tracks one by one would be a big pain.

In the Game Data Utility there's a section for ModNation Racers User Created Content. Does this contain the creations I've downloaded, the creations I've made or both?

03/2011 - 08/2012. These were some memorable 17 months.
This is the end, my only friends. I'm moving on to other things, as ModNation has given me all it could give.

I know how to delete tracks, just go to creation station -> tracks -> edit -> downloads and then find the tracks you want deleted. I'm pretty sure deleting some downloaded tracks takes off abit of space in the ModNation Racers User Content in the Game Data Utility.

Hope this helped.

Ya...I would do a manual delete. I'm not sure if the game data only has downloaded of your creations too. I almost want to say it has your creations too.

That would be the correct file.  It can't be copied and is the reason you lose all downloaded tracks, karts, mods, etc when doing a transfer.  Now for some reason, you also lose unpublished works so if I had to guess they're in there too.  So if you can stand to (possibly) lose you're unpublished work then go ahead.

Personally I'd do a manual delete in the modspot/creation station.  I've done it at least twice and I need to do it again actually.  It's pretty fun finding those tracks from way back and thinking "Seriously? I downloaded THIS?!"

Well, that settles it. Thanks for the info, I've just deleted my file and that's exactly what happened. I lost all downloaded and unpublished creations. But this also cleared up the huge mess that was my tracks collection.

Re: Deleting downloaded creations

Another bad design choice on the part of UFG, no way to select multiple files to delete, so the more you accumulate over time, the more time you're gonna have to waste deleting it to tidy things up later on.

I try and clear out my tracks once a month, keep them down to a manageable level so the game doesn't take so long to load. Me and OnePoppa have termed this our 'MNR chores'. :smileyvery-happy:

I should do that. Having 3000+ creations downloaded causes major slowdown.

Re: Deleting downloaded creations

Surprisingly I've never got this slow down of loading creations. Even when I had 1000's of creations, in a gameroom its always been a good while to load. It'd usually takes about 15-20 secs. But in the modspot 8-10 maybe... Tracks load almost instantly for me though...

Lucky there. I have to warn the host to not start because my mods/karts take around 2-3 minutes to load. Tracks take seconds for me though.

Re: Deleting downloaded creations

I don't have many things downloaded. I probably only have around 100 creations downloaded at most. Must be the reason why I don't have any trouble.
