Hi everyone, does anybody know whether a discount can actually be done for the Modnation DLC? It's been rumored a lot, and Mark even responded to one person asking about it in the blog saying, 'We're discussing possibly doing a discount for certain DLC' (I can't quote him exactly, but it was along those lines). After that however, it's been rather quite.
I look at other games, such as Need for Speed or Burnout, and they never drop their prices even though those games are 4 years old now; So why should I expect MNR to be any different.
I think the prices for Mods and Karts are fine, but I'm really hoping for discounts in the track expansion packs.

Of course it's possible. The chances of it happening though are up to UFG and Sony.
At first I thought that comparing it to E.A. games is a little unfair since they are really greedy ***** but then I thought, "Maybe UFG falls into that category too." It's kinda starting to look that way.
It's really frustrating that we seem to get a lot of lip service when it comes to clarifying things we ask about. A lot of "I'll look into it" and then no response back. A lot of "It might happen" and then no response back to why it didn't. One of my favorites is "It may or may not happen, sooner than later" in this thread regarding new XP series playlists.

I can understand why people think there should be price drops etc... but to be honerst i really dont think the prices are high atall...
a mini pack is about the same price as a mcdonalds meal... i know which one id rather spend my money on..
The large packs cost about the same price as 3 pints of beer...
but yet youv always got it once you'v bought it..
by no means am i saying there extremely cheap or anything and yess all the dlc together cost alot.. but if you bought 1 pack every 2 weeks.... then its hardly anything. i.m.o

Yeah, that was probably a bad reference to use, but still, most developers don't seem to offer a price reduction on any of their DLC.
Personally I hope Sony doesn't follow in EA's footsteps, but unfortunately they seem to have started to, especially since these online passes are becoming more and more common with most games now.
Thank you everyone for the replies! At least now I know it's possible for there to be a discount. ![]()

It’s not only about empty generic answers; it’s also about not keeping their word at all.
UFG’s PR people need to improve a lot…
As for discounts, yep they’re possible! I got Burnout in a bundle with some dlc for about 8 bucks a few months ago.

If you've been playing this for long enough, the DLC is worth it. Don't waste your time begging for discounts, just don't spend your moolah on the lesser packs, such as Western, Water World, and the advanced sticker groups (I meant mods).
