Greg Miller, who has always been a strong supportor of Modnation Racers and previous builds of LBP Karting, just published a video of him playing a recent preview of LBP Karting and states that he is now nervous and concerned about the game.

I know this isn't surprising for most people, but I am becoming more and more nervous about this game. I really want it to be good, but it does look so slow and boring....

Honestly - that's kinda how I felt after messing around with the beta =(
Here's hoping it gets better...

yep gotta agree.. it'll probably be a massive fail unfortunatly both in terms of sales and community, the majority of mnr and lbp community are either completly uninterested or actually hate it already, i'll get it and make (some) tracks for sure but i can count the number of track creators who are onboard on my fingers, the lbp community will no doubt be going crazy for lbp vita and tearaway and seem to mostly want lbpk and ufg to go away.. now add to that the nintendo factor and mario kart wii u.. if they do make it will a fully fledged track editor which they no doubt will, it will totally kill lbpk, you should see the stuff that they (the mario kart community) make, i was thinking that mnr's were making amazing stuff until i saw the tracks those guys and girls make with what seems a massivly deep homebrew editor... i definatly feel lbpk wont capture the magic of mnr or lbp thats for sure .. now.... far cry 3 ... thats where its at ![]()

I've played the same levels at the gamescom and this dude describes the same impressions I had on lbp-k. Lousy controls, no good weapon- or shielding-system and a poor racefeeling.
As there wasn't a MNR2 to come I really hoped this one to be a good game, but to me it isn't....

I did pre-order LBP Karting for the unlock everything bonus key at Gamestop (as much as I hate them). So I will definitely make a track or two, but if the racing is as lifeless as people describe - well lets just say when FarCry 3 releases in December LBP Karting will be dead to me. Let's hope UFG pulls it together, though.
FarCry3 - Yes! Please!! The editor in both 1 and 2 was amazing. I played with FC 2's map editor a lot and have tons of awesome well renowned maps! I got so into it I downloaded and read a text book about FPS level design!

Well, if LBPK fails more than MNR did then we might get a sequal... but knowing UFG they'll probably just give up in making racing games and desert MNR for ever. Sadly though, however bad the reviews are the brand name will still probably make this one sell, which is sad.
It's all money, money, money in the game industry now, that's why I'm going back to table tennis, my old indoor hobby before MNR took over. Few games seem fun anymore... ![]()

Not enough money to bribe IGN? Ha.
