I'm not completely sure you can make realistic worlds like in MNR, but I'm sold on the game.

Doesn't have the speed or intensity of MNR, but since it has the LBP aspect, it'll be fun either way. That's why I'm buying it

I've never hated LBP in the first place, so I'm giving this game a chance, starting by the demo, if there's going to be one.

They don't feature material editing, but they showcase placing a prop. ARRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No material editing in 3D, no buy.
Apart from that it looks like an MNR clone +battle.

One of my favourite music artist used on LB. You just asked for it.
Aside of that, no, not convinced, a free demo is enough to joke around.

Even the platformer LBPs had props. I would highly doubt that they would go without material editing. A lot of the stuff in the trailer looks like materials. I imagine the trees are just one of the preset props.

He means in 3D. All of the material in these trailers looks like you can only edit it on 2 dimensions and then rotate it, resulting in blocky layered/flat objects.
