I disagree with your conclusion. I'm very happy that this experiment caught on and I think interest here is a good sign that the community is still alive. Not everyone needs to keep commenting on all thousands of creations being spammed on the forum, in order to be an active community member. This topic is very different from other creation topics and you should not be surprised that it interests different parts of the community.

 

And never EVER call my thread pointless! Now we won't give you any cake at the post-experiment party :Shame:

atheistsw, you're making enemies by continuing to complain. Now that Phantom, Positive and Negative are all behind us, there isn't much spam.

C'mon, your obsession to complain about everything is getting ridiculous. First you complained that people were leaving comments that you didn't like on your creations, than you didn't like that some people said that some of your tracks lag (they do, what you want? that people lie?), than you bashed the mod/kart creators saying that their creations did nothing other than looking good (obviously meaning that they're useless), than you didn't like the LBP:Karting idea, than you decided to revive the boosting issue, and now you're entering other's thread just to say that the thread is pointless (if this thread is pointless, why did it stay on subject for so many pages? with so many replies?).

 

So, my suggestion to you is: try to eat more Activia™. (you know, it helps you taking your morning poop)

 

PS. I respect you as a creator to the point that you've been on my fav. list for almost two years, but man lately your getting sort of annoying.

I think that we should just calm this down before it escalates too much. It is true that many of the people who posted on this thread(myself included) dont often post feedback in the mod or kart section, and to help the communtiy i agree and understand that we should be doing more in that area. However, I think this thread was just and fun and interesting idea Kuni had, and a new idea at that, so it warrants its place here. I say hugs all around,lol, theres too much bashing of people on the forum already, no need to go into that. :smileyhappy:

it wasn't really this thread that was the pointless one attracting lots of posts, this is actually quite an interesting idea I guess and I'm sorry if it came across like that, just that there are lot's of new-ish creators like mackattack8000, anaximperator, mini_schnauzer to name a few off the top of my head who would like some sort of feedback on their stuff and it's getting harder and harder to receive, whilst there seem to be a large number of people who only participate on these forums to spam or just post silly meme pictures all the time. :Stupid:

 

If you've played a track or seen a mod/kart that's being advertised in the create section, just leave a few words of feedback, encouragement is what keeps creators coming back to better what they've done previously. I don't think it's too much to expect people to leave some sort of feedback about a game that positively encourages creative endeavour, do you? :smileywink:

Now that you are back you should try tracks again, lead by example! :smileywink: I have always, and will always, be happy to give feedback and most tracks posted on the forums I will try, though it might take me a few days. However, I also think that things like this science project keep the game interesting, and people should participate. I think we just need to achieve a happy balence!

I understand your point, ath. This isn't the place to speak about it but since the experiment is nearing it's conclusion anyway, I don't really mind. I did not mean to undermine those who put effort into creations and post them here, and am sorry if it seemed like that.

 

This topic is about ready to be wrapped up. A million thanks to everyone who contributed, this was very exciting for me and made MNR that one bit more interesting! I might post a conclusion of sorts, but that'll have to wait for now.

 

Maybe we could even have a sequel, turn this into an MNR Science series :smileyhappy:
