You asked for a better engine, more feature, etc. etc. You got it, but just not in the form you wanted. Careful what you wish for...
I hope they can manage keeping up such massive servers for both games and MNR servers never go down. Because there is no way I'm getting rid of MNR. Long live the Nation...

Now for my opinion of LBPK. Ripper you are cosigned in full. But I must admit I'll be getting LBPK though. Why? Because I love kart racers. This pretty much summarizes how I feel about LBPK and MNR. ModNation has my full support, but I will get LBPK when it comes out because I too love kart racers.
So yeah, signed.

Signed, LBP:K looks like garbage, period. The mod and kart customization looks a lot worse and more rigid than MNR, and of course, you just HAVE to be a stupid sack "Hey, nice sack dude" just doesn't have the same ring to it somehow, does it? ![]()
You're totally right about the target audience being adults, kids just download anything with a brand on it or some other crap, adults are those who are putting the time and effort in to creating the very best creations this game has to offer. Sony has it's head up it's arse though and doesn't have A CLUE how to market anything these days.
ob: LBP:K is just gonna be a cheap cash-in that I hope will die in a few short months, then UFG will be crying about how they missed an AWESOME opportunity to build on the sucess of MNR and will be begging for another shot at the title.
Unfortunately, I feel by then it may be too late, as stupid Sony will have figured nobody likes kart racers anymore. ![]()

^This^ I feel pretty much the same way about it, although I'm less likely to consider actually going out and purchasing LBPK.
Signed

Sorry to disappoint you, but I bought the whole game and to be frank, didn't find it terribly fun so far. The drifting is hard to control, the game's major gimmick (driving dangerously to earn "Power" and destroy obstacles strewn across the course) can be rather counterproductive (some smashables lie outside the proper racing lines), the AI cheats too much and the jump physics are awful (trust me, on the full game there's an early Time Trial on a track with many jumps strewn and I guarantee you that at least once you'll land wrong from one of the jumps and spin out). Plus there are no items and not much personality to speak of. So far this is the one of the only PS3 games I regret having purchased.

I really don't see why so many people are against this. We have yet to see what costumization can actually come to, AND they even said all the tools of LBP will be available. That means tracks will be able to have higher logic!
I view this, as a possible hit to the mod and kart community, but a big gain in trackmaking. If we can in fact use the logic processors of LBP2 then we'll be able to make far more interesting tracks then we ever could in MNR. Not to mention, building props from the ground up, stickering, and other things.
But everything we've seen thus far is two promo vids. We haven't seen the actual tool sets. You don't know if there might be a Tag style MNR body for stickering. Don't be so quick to judge, wait and see what happens.
Also, I am a very big fan of craftworlds art style. I feel it would do far more justice then MNRs faux realism. That is just my opinion.~
