Sorry to disappoint you, but I bought the whole game and to be frank, didn't find it terribly fun so far. The drifting is hard to control, the game's major gimmick (driving dangerously to earn "Power" and destroy obstacles strewn across the course) can be rather counterproductive (some smashables lie outside the proper racing lines), the AI cheats too much and the jump physics are awful (trust me, on the full game there's an early Time Trial on a track with many jumps strewn and I guarantee you that at least once you'll land wrong from one of the jumps and spin out). Plus there are no items and not much personality to speak of. So far this is the one of the only PS3 games I regret having purchased.
That's a real shame. I mean I'm not a big fan of the style but that advanced editor looked awesome!!! Also, after playing thousands of hours of MNR drifting in any game is probably pretty hard and wierd feeling! Still, the other stuff sounds pretty bad. Real shame.

Let's keep bumping this thread so if UFG DO ever come to these boards giving a damn what the players think they can at least find our thoughts easily and all in one place. ![]()

SIGNED. Sony, UFG , Please give us a MNR2. Your companies should be amazed at the custom Mods, Karts and Tracks that have been created for FREE for you by the MNR community. It should be obvious that Your game is a phenomenal success because of the players creations. Do you think the game would have been this successful without . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
So why not give us what we are asking for . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .
MNR2
I was thinking about all the games I have played over the years, and "in my book" , not one of them comes even close to MNR.
C'mon Sony, UFG, The ModNation community has been giving back to you by making a virtually unlimited supply of downloadable Original creations that helped you make millions. ( This is why the Vita version enables you to dwnload and Race all the custom tracks, mods and karts from the PS3 version )
It's time to give us something back. That would simply be MNR2 with all the " Bells and Whistles ".
THIS WOULD BE NOTHING SHORT OF A WIN - WIN SITUATION FOR SONY and UFG because We the MNR community would all rush out to get it and once again, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The jaws would drop from the top floor to the bottom floor in the Sony building, as they would be witness to some truly incredible creations that will continue to make them Millions More.

I have absolutely no desire to play LBK. Doesn't look fun at all to me. I really wish MNR:RT had been better, with TRUE crossplay between the PS3 and actual, full online gameplay and ModSpot. And yes, I know that UFG had nothing to do with MNR:RT, but maybe they should have... MNR could have had a HUGE push if RT and the PS3 version had had more
interconnectivity IMO. Like, I really wish you could have loaded up the same track in edit mode on both the PS3 and Vita, and have it so that you can work on your tracks with both devices at the same time.
Honestly, I can't stand track creation on the Vita. The "Draw Track" feature is nice, but it's the ONLY part of track creation that isn't frustrating and annoying IMO.
Oh well. To missed opportunities!! **Raises glass**

All of the previews I have read say: It stays true to little big planet.
This means that wierd shuttle thing (no modspot), probably easier difficulty, slightly different drifting...
Add this all up and my guess is you would never no it was related to modnation. By the sounds of it UFG is just helping to make a LBP game where you drive. ![]()

From 0:17 to 0:50. Did you guys sell out? Is it still all about what you want to do? Or did money talk?

That's exactly what I was thinking. I've never cared much for the Little Big Planet games. I tried them. Not my cup of tea. I really can't imagine playing a racing version.
From the looks of things most of my good friends aren't planning on picking up LBPK, so we'll be here until they change the locks and board up the windows.

Come here for another open letter to UFG. Yes, people care about his game, some of them very much.
