Too lazy to explain, go read some old thread or wait some "wise" to do that for me.

Do you really think they will pull the plug on MNR? Socom 1 still have its servers up. Why do you guys think this games servers will be shut down?
Of course they aren't shutting the servers down yet. But they are metaphorically pulling the plug. Removing the blog is an obvious sign that support for this game from Sony is very low at this point. They have decided to stop keeping up the Modnation 'hype' and to let the game die.
We've seen it coming for a while now.

I agree with this being a sign of the game's end. I doubt we'll hear any talk of "pulling the plug" before LBP karting is seen on store shelves.

This. You don't see Gran Turismo, Uncharted, or any other big sony title getting weekly posts on the offical ps blog but somehow ModNation Mondays has survived two years of weekly blog coverage it's pretty amazing tbh. I was surprised when it made it one year and was still going. I guess it took about 20 ratings in a row of 3 stars or lower on the blog posts with the Road Trip fiasco to get the ModNation Mondays pulled for good from the ps blog lol.

Of course, the REAL issue most of us are ignoring, what with the removal of the official MNR blog is...
How much longer will there be a need for Mark Wilson's job as MNR Community Specialist??? ![]()
In all seriousness though, I think it'll be quite some time before they pull the plug on the servers, MNR still has a strong and dedicated group of creators and racers and whilst the game has not been as popular as Sony would have liked (no pleasing them really though, is there?) I think the wonderful community this game has bred over the last couple of years (minus the pesky boosters, they can go to hell) have helped to create a truly unique game experience that can be enjoyed by all. I think ripper171 hit the nail on the head in his post "Open letter to UFG" when he said that the real problem was that Sony opted to market the game to kids, when kids generally have attention spans that last about, ooh, 3 seconds. The majority of creators that are worth a damm on this game are adults, adults have the patience to take the time and create something for the love of it, not just to get some stupid worthless reward to lengthen their e-pene. Kids picked up the game, boosted all their worthless, randomised crap and moved on, leaving the stench of their garbage wafting through the servers for the rest of us to endure. The players that have been with the game since the early days, many of whom I have come to regard as friends have stuck with it and are now creating things that would only have been dreamed about when the game was first released. ![]()
Yes, UFG/SD Studio's messed up BIG TIME with the Vita release, they missed a massive marketing opportunity, either through sheer stupidity or ignorance, but it cannot be denied that there really is or has not been any other game quite like MNR, bringing together players from across the globe to share in the light of fun and creativity. For that reason alone, it deserves it place IMHO as one of the greatest games ever made and I wish Sony would recognize that fact instead of purely judging everything on a dollars and cent basis.
And yes, I'll end with obligatory "screw LBP:K, give us MNR2 ya basterds!" ![]()

Mark is still in charge of The track Selection, and be as how it has problems, as long as they are there, he still is here.
P.s. Anyone notice that the new week hasn't had a change in our Xp ggains and whatnot. I can see it, but i don't wanna.

Kids are impulsive buyers, who go ''OOOOOOOH SHINY'' and then beg, only to stop playing a day after and giving the game to Gamestop / EBGames / Game for 10% of what they bought, all while driving their parents to suicide.
Impulsive buyer = lots of purchases = PROFIT FOUR SHOUNY = ALR SHOUNY CARRIES ABUOUTU
