Who else would you like to thank openly?

Hi,

As the 2 year anniversary approaches, I was thinking about the community members who really make this game great, and onepoppa came straight to mind. Poppa not only hosts amazing casual gamerooms daily, he also finds time to make quality mods, karts and tracks frequently. And above that, he is always organising events, and always ready to try out your latest track and give you a bit of feedback, or give you some tips on creating. I know first hand that when I started this game, poppa was quick to offer feedback when I requested it and he was my first friend I made in modspot. It is people like onepoppa who make me want to play this game whenever I turn on my PS3, and he completely deserves to be recognised for all of the great work he does in this game. It makes me wonder how the hell 'onepoppa' is sometimes censored lol! :smileyvery-happy:

Thanks onepoppa!

Inspired by this thread where mini_schnauzer67 openly thanks OnePoppa for his efforts on keeping the game alive, who else do you think deserves kudos for their acts that keep this game alive? I myself would like to thank two people:

  • Freshwick, for his Import Nights and other events, as well as interesting highlight vidos.
  • lovelyblueness, for bridging the gap between western and japanese players, helping make themselves better known.
03/2011 - 08/2012. These were some memorable 17 months.
This is the end, my only friends. I'm moving on to other things, as ModNation has given me all it could give.

Re: Who else would you like to thank openly?

Hmm, good question. Let's see:

Laidbackcat - He's been a great friend since I met him online in summer 2010, he's offered so much helpful advice along the way and is always willing to test tracks with me, plus he's a hell of a nice bloke! :smileyhappy:

prob_alex - Constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in game and creating excellent tutorial for newcomers to devour.

Biver_ - Has always tried to create incredibly complex tracks that, again, push the boundaries of what can be done with the editor to try and ensure no two laps are ever the same!

Mr_Dufus - For discovering a great deal of the glitches in the track editor that have helped to enhance the game and also

ArgorokX - For that one glitch to help place objects where they don't want to go. Absolutely invaluable.

jmg/POULTRY_GOD - Never fails to make me laugh in casual game rooms, he's a stand up guy who gets a lot of flack because he hates cheating of ANY kind and is very vocal about it. I respect that immensely.

ModnationSD - Since he came onboard in early 2011 he's done so much to try and keep the community thriving despite getting practically zero support from the game developers. He's also been a great advocator of my tracks which has helped me become more widely known throughout the nation. Also (controversial choice here perhaps)...

puppethand666 -  In the early stages was extremely encouraging and supportive of my work and I learned a lot from him, just a shame he left the game in 2011 and has NEVER returned. :smileysad:

abc123y - For taking the time to record timetrials on ALL of the Project: Timeship tracks and upload them to youtube to help publicise our first group collaboration project, who of course we have OnePoppa to thank for. Roll on Project: Cinema! :smileyvery-happy:

Everybody here has helped me in so many things and deserve a big thank from me but well...

BadgerDon1968 - gonzo-001 - kingmatthew1969 - tc---1 - Spucnic - Reshko - LittleBaer81 : Before being an elite, i raced a lot with them, big fun on xp races and on casual, pretty used to be called a "lady", haha, no seriously, they gave me so much fun.

big-village_920_  : Koushien Ball Park on Hot Lap was the first time i decided to train harder to get better, racing on it for 3 hours straight and i transformed, i think. Thanks for that, i started to like Hot Lap. Obviously it's because of your great tracks as well.

wipeout_god : Mostly same with big-v-san, i've been trying to get closer, the burning will to take you on and your times, still nothing but well, thanks.

DeathsMom: Being friend with her since some years and very glad to meet her friends, that was a big step for the international races and relations. She encouraged me a lot and i'll never get tired to say thanks to you, Mom.

AngelG_No55_FTW: Aside being a Touhou partner and a western racer. Darn, you are hella of fast, one reason to get better and well, you're a great buddy, thanks for keeping me in company!

prob_alex: Thanks to the old Solaria track, i got an interest in casual gamerooms.

panpa00: Being famous ain't easy, eh? You had to take all my admiration to you for no reasons, truly you opened the gate for asians races and meeting such wicked, kind and creative people. Big thanks.

Assyrion: To be fair honest, i was afriad to talk with you, before Pseudo Raiden you were using a similar White Death Reaper one and it made me think "Yeah, better not annoy him" and got admiration by your speed. Thanks Ananas!

parise93 - John31269: i kept seeing you 2 together before, well, got some nice chatting as well and had fun.

poncedailyown - Lloyd2k4: Your blessings and holy prayers made my heart feel full of wiseness, in other words, loveru loveru P!, arigatou!

Kuningaskotka: The first time i saw him, random series, Chef Hat, amazing skills... my heart got touched by a warm chicken leg, i was doubtful to add him, then i got courage and did that, my MNR life has somehow changed, big thanks. You made me stronger and you mostly don't have problems chatting with me, i really don't know what to say ;_;

kikire8096: I think he's my best italian buddy ever had in MNR, i got the blessing to meet other nice friends and ta-daan :3 Grazie mille, amico mio.

TUKSILHA: He is as well one of my biggest buddies i met in MNR, he helped me getting better, he always cheered me up, encouraged me to go forward, i really got a nice feeling having him on my friend list and top 5 of trusty MNR friends.

earlizd1: NO, FORGET IT, YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO SAY <.< You and your darn AWESOME Felicia avatar. In serious words, thank you early, you also made my mind open a little, your pr0 skillz are vast on this land!

Freshwick: I don't need words to say why you, but seriously, thanks.

 ModNationSD: Why not?

Then if i forget someone, be free to take my head.

Retiree.

Prob_alex - For making the best tracks--creative and technical--the game has ever seen and probably will ever see.

maverick--07-- - for making me realize how terrible I am at this game

poncedailyown - for making the game just fun in general ^-^"  P!

blackjet2000 - for introducing me to the wonders of delicious eggs and amazing eagles.

MylesG - For presenting a series of amazing tracks in a professional and classy manner.

Ivoyaridovich - For having a keen sense of creativity and standards of excellence when creating tracks.

panpa00 - for being God Racer

CAVEMAN510 - for always consistently leaving @ 21 sec in an XP Series room because everyone supposedly cheats or is a remake scrub.

RAMPAGEKILL1990 - for always talking to yourself and carrying on the most random conversations ever that I'll never stop laughing at.

gosu_driver - because you're awesome and amazing and me and Pbear miss you endlessly :smileysad:

Rif.: Who else would you like to thank openly?

I haven't met most of the people listed so far in the game to much, so I can't contribute too much, but there is someone that I do know and that is my man Freshwick! WHAT! He can host GP's and other events and still have time to record and upload the vids to youtube! (I would know because I'm a suscriber!) And that's not including his other vids and whatever else he does! Who else is this dedicated to the game?

I would like to openly thank:

Assyrion: Thanks for being on top of your game at all times.

Freshwick: Being a good host during Import Nights or any other day.

Dr. Diabolical: For just being a friend, even if I haven't raced with him. (Not as far as I remember.)

This list is for my friends on the forums. -Exobud
