Just finished the LBP Karting Beta and I really loved it. I'm a big fan of LBP and I'm definitely gonna buy it when it comes out. But that won't be for awhile so I'm thinking that ModNation Racers might satisfy me for now seeing as it looks similar to LBP Karting and is made by the same dev. I really loved the MNR demo and the track creation tool seems very similar to LBP Karting. But how exactly do the two games compare?

Is the track creation as extensive as LBP? What I love about LBP is how you can think outside of the box and create unique tracks and levels that you wouldn't even think is possible. Is the creation tool similar in MNR? Or is it more streamlined, where you can really only make standard tracks/levels? I also really loved the charm of LBP specifically in its story mode. So how does MNR compare to that?

Basically, if I liked LBP Karting will I like MNR?

Well, if you Read the many threads about LBP: karting on this forum, you will see that many of us hate it. The LBP karting creation tool for track is much more in depth then MNR, but in my opinion is much harder to work with.

MNR's track are more or less standard, but with the help of glitches, you could make some unbelieveable things, like A Disorted World by prob_alex. MNR story mode can be hard for some, but thecharacters are funny, and likeable ( Gary, Espresso, Chief).

Also, you could race as anything in Modnation, unlike LBP:K.

In conclusion, you will like MNR if you like LBP karting.
