Hello MNR community, I'm back with the second half of the Speed Collection. I was gonna package this along with the newest track that I'm working on, but instead I'll go ahead and post this one up right now. Now before we get into the newest collection, I need to let you guys know that I took down most of my karts in my BlacklistGT1 account with the exception of my MRL future karts and drivers. The reason is that I am gonna go back and redesign almost every single kart that I've created. For those who remember my huge MRL Autoshow post? Well I have a set plan and a list of karts that I'm gonna redesign. Also I'm gonna release them in packs. I'm integrating both my MRL Historic Collection and MRL Special Edition Collection together. So that means that Instead of releasing one kart, I will release a group of karts at once, but for every kart pack that I release I need feedback from the community. With that being said.......
Neneko Katana
The newest entry to the speed collection comes from Neneko, who's competitve racer, the "Katana" was a force to be reckoned with in the MRL. It never won a single championship like it's sister machine the "Batoru," but it was shown on the track to be challenge for other karts.
I ditched the Datsun style racing livery of the original and made this one look more aggressive with a matte and metal paintjob and a Unicorn like livery to it. I took some inspiration from Ravenwest in Race Driver GRID.
1940's Trenton Rat Rod.
It's hailed from the streets of Detroit Michigan as a deadly fast rat rod. This kart was heavily tuned by an old speed shop 20 years after this kart was made. This rat rod's insane speed and experience in drag races for over two decades make it a perfect entry for the speed collection.
I tried to make this kart look as old and as rusty as possible. ![]()
Vaymach S16 GT1
Another entry to the Speed Collection is a fast racing machine that competes in the URA (United Racing Alliance) Global GT1 Series. This kart is championship contender and ready to take on the world.
I think I was trying to refrence both Ridge Racer and Galaga at the same time lol. I even decorated the kart with the hornet and red ship in all of it's 8-bit glory ![]()
Ashura Faunteen R Shadow
This kart is in the speed collection for the simple fact that it is the fastest machine that Ashura has ever built. You cannot outrun your shadow.
The livery is supposed to be a clock that blends in with the kart's paint job.
Vinardi Taus VT-750
This is a special track-only version of the original Vinardi Taus that promises to produce power and stability that's more incredible than the original.
I took the original design of the VT-750 and redesigned it to look even faster.
Trenton One
The last member of the speed collection is modified version of hands down the greatest american race kart ever built. The Trenton One is the image that represents Trenton Racing Experience and the whole manufactuer as a whole. This incredible machine has won the 24 hours over 5 times in it's run as well as several championships in various racing series. Each race kart built by Trenton has the name that ends in one. (Excluding the Justice) as it is an incarnation of the iconic race kart. A truly epic addition to the Speed Collection.
So yeah this kart is the MRL Universe equivalent of the Ford GT40
.
So there you have it ladies and Gentlemen. The second half of the speed collection. Like the last one, I won't publish these karts until I can get as much feedback as possible. Which is the best looking? Which Kart do you like the most? Which one do you see driving yourself? But the biggest question is, "Is this better than the first Speed Collection overall?" I had two more karts, but I had to cancel the designs because I simply couldn't find a working livery that could make the two karts look fast.
The first Speed Collection post. (Link)
Final Thoughts:
The new track will be up as soon as possible. I have homework and other personal projects in the way though. I'll see what I can do in terms of just making small progress on a daily basis starting this week.
Feed is greatly appreciated and I hope you love these new karts as much as the first speed collection.

Vinardi Taus VT-750.
Trenton One.
Ashura Faunteen R Shadow.
IMO, these three so far are the pinnacle of your kart making skills. It's very clear that you are improving over time. And only time will tell what other great creations will come from you.
