Love your tracks, so i raced this one, it had a good feel too it, good spooky decoration, but some of the jump landings i didnt really like, sent me crashing into walls. But overall really good! i gave it 4*

Contrary to this I found your track great when suimei hosted it yesterday, your best one imo. I didn't get any jump landing problems, and I found it easy to navigate despite being so dark. The scenery actually felt spooky, you created a great atmosphere. But the main thing I loved was that you didn't use too many traps. The devestators were fine, and you got boost before them anyway. I thought the amount of traps used was perfect. I would go as far as saying that this is one of the best 'haunted themed' tracks ever made. Well done king, I this one I do have a reason to host again. ^_^

Thanks alot  flathletics. :smileyhappy:  I put up some  Big  Chevrons on those jumps,  that way Racers would see which way to position their kart upon landing.  Guess I didn't  make them big enough :smileyvery-happy:  Sometimes they are hard to notice when you are in the heat of the race, but once you've raced it a few times . . . . . . they are pretty easy.  I also  widened the out side corner of the track where those  jumps  land  you. Sorry that you hit the wall :smileywink:  Glad you enjoyed it overall.

Re: New Track : *HALLOWEEN HAUNT*

I raced this one in a impromptu casual a few nights ago. The atmosphere is REALLY fitting for this track. Dark and haunting. Had some tight turns in it too. I loved the parts with castles and the like. Good job on that.

A lot of us however did find the track had quite a few alternate paths which kinda got confusing. It needed a few more chevrons and coupled with one of MNR's features that's actually a hindrance, (which I'll explain later) a lot of the racers didn't vote on it because they felt it needed to be raced more than once to be given an honest rating.

Now this feature I'm talking about is the on-screen display (specifically the sounter that appears in the middle of the screen when you perform any action that gains boost). With the track being so dark, the contrast between the on-screen display and the lighting on the track makes it pretty hard to see turns coming up and makes adjusting to the next turn a bit harder.

I don't know, I was able to follow others for the first lap and after that I was fine... maybe I was just paying particular attention as I was going to give feedback on it. Anyway I'm surprised I didn't get any of these problems.

Its like that with all tracks that have the sun at the lowest setting, highest cloud cover setting and dark scenery.

Re: New Track : *HALLOWEEN HAUNT*

Thanks for the input guys.  Yes, I agree that the track is a little dark and I think the track looks a little hazy also.  I took all the clouds out of the sky and the sun is at the lowest setting.  It just did not look right with the sun shining overhead :smileyhappy: It just was not spooky enough,  and if I would have left the sun  out,  I am pretty sure someone would have commented that the "feel" was just not right for a horror track. :smileyhappy:

I think after racing it a few times, even with the tight turns that it is pretty easy to follow.( especially for all you guys who are Elite racers )  Like I said,  i tried to make the chevrons big that way they would be noticable,  but I may have missed putting chevrons on a few turns due to the fact that  I  made the track and I am so used to taking those tight turns from Test racing it sooo  many times. :smileywink:  My apoligies on that.

Overall, I think the track came out good and I think that I made the right decision as far as the  settings of the sun and clouds go. Trust me, it did not look right with the sun and clouds. :smileysad:  I hope all you Elite racers  agree. :smileyhappy:

Thanks again for the feedback.

Re: New Track : *HALLOWEEN HAUNT*

I should also mention that although we found that one issue we liked the track. We already understood completely why it was so dark. Compared to tracks with the sun up, it takes a couple plays to get used to it but its very raceable.
