After looking at some pictures of Monaco online I couldn't resist trying my hand at my own interpretation of the millionaires playground. I decided not to do a faithful recreation of the famous Grand Prix circuit and instead concentrated on creating a track that captured the unique road designs and geographical features that grace the South of France. The result is a race that is both tricky AND fun, with a few corners that'll take a few go's to master and a couple of the most famous sections of the GP circuit included for good measure. ![]()
You begin the race on the outskirts of the city, surrounded on all sides by the towering apartment complexes that dominate the Monaco skyline. After a tight left-hander you find yourself traversing a very steep hill, thorugh narrow cobbled streets as you ascend to the mountains.
Race along the mountainside with the view of the city skyline in the distance. As you approach the left-right chicane, bear right to cross over the floor trigger surrounded by curious sheep. This will open up the barriers ahead for a cross country shortcut...
As you bounce along cross country, you'll make your way to this jump, which launches you down to the palace grounds below. Simple follow the courtyard around to rejoin the main track...
Keep on the main path and you'll go through a tunnel, before beginning a rapid descent down to the bottom. Eventually, which ever route you take, you'll end up here, the world famous Grand Hotel Hairpin.
Pass through this tunnel that passes the waterside and cuts beneath the oh so expensive Grimaldi Forum. Watch out for the pop-ups that can thwart your attempts to grab a quick item pod as you pass!
The toughest corner on the track. Get it wrong and you'll be swimming with the fishes, unless you're lucky enough to be able to make it over to the jetty and over the jump that spans the marina. Best tactic is to approach it from the wide left part of the road on the exit from the tunnel.
Once you've passed the marina it's a brisk uphill dash towards the final section.
Sail through the apartment complexes, over the track below and reach the other side. Drift around and you'll find a roundabout, go right for a boost or left for some final item pods and maybe the last chance to stop the leader dead!
And there we have it, one lap around the millionaires playground of Monte Carlo! As usual, comments and feedback are very welcome. ![]()
See you on the track! ![]()

Great track! The tight turns and high difficulty make for some really nice racing.

Great track, man, as always! I actually think of something when I race this. This track is clearly defined for well-experienced racers only, obviously because of the sharp turns. This track is like a VIP spot for well-experienced racers who are used to complex tracks! That's what I think about it, of course! Anyways, keep up the unbelievable work that you always do!
\m/ Rock on and see you around!

Just found this track's post! I have to say, this is one of my favourite 'Real Life' Tracks in the Game, and a true 5*!
